The staff were very friendly and great service, food was good and the rooms nice. Beautifull scenery and friendly locals.

True WestCoast friendly welcome and best service. Lovely room with extra comfortable large bed, nice big bathroom, best views of the river . Food at the hotel was excellent. Will definitely return in the future. 

Laaiplek hotel is a very special accommodation place as it is run by locals who go the extra mile for their guests.  It is unpretentious and has the most magnificent view over the lagoon where 1000s of birds can be viewed.

Charming local hotel

We were surprised to see this beautiful hotel.
We could not stop taking photos.
The staff were friendly. Food was great. Had a very good time at Laaiplek Hotel. We will definitely go back next year. A must see.

Will recommend Laaiplek Hotel

True WestCoast friendly welcome and best service.  Lovely room with extra comfortable large bed, nice big bathroom, best views of the river - then we moved to self catering unit, which was spacious and comfortable - and our little dog was allowed too.   Food at the hotel was excellent.   Have already referred to family members for future travels.

Laaiplek Hotel a true WestCoast Oasis

The hosts totally surprised me by inviting me and my son to partake in a family birthday party and we didn't even know each other.
What a pleasant stay in true west coast hospitality. Thank you very much to your friendly reception and good food . The area was safe and the rooms clean. The only thing that didn't work was the plug for the kettle in the room, but it was sorted out in a short time after I mentioned it. 

Excellent stay and value for money!

Best place to stay in the area at half the price! Room was clean and roomy ,quite a pleasant surprise considering the rate of just of over R500 per night. Amazing view over the river and boats. Excellent restaurant as well

Great stay

On arrival Sunday afternoon we did not feel welcome at all. Lady who eventually reveived is was irretated, first words, can't find booking, found it eventually. Lady gave is they key showed the room and everybody knocked off. Other peoole arrived they had to phone to het their keys, as doors were locked and no one to receive them. Breakfast time  we dis not know what time breakfast is served, we asked rhey advised from 8:00 we had to leave earlier for appointments.  Staff was very noisy lazing about did not try to accomodate us. We were there a couple of years back and had a wonderfull stay, I assume it us under new managememt or ownership.
