Good day, my family of four stayed in the Garden cottages and we really enjoyed it, the accommodation might seem outdated but its clean, and gets serviced daily before 10am. We could hear the birds chirping in the trees above most of the time, staff are friendly and helpful. Close to Sedgefield town and Knysna, will defintely recommend.

Hidden Gem!!!

We stayed at Lake Pleasant in villa no 5 over the December holidays in peak season. The grounds at Lake Pleasant are beautifully maintained with owners taking personal interest. There is no spa, it is a badly looked after area which is closed up. The villa in which we stayed was very badly maintaned, full of potential but lots of maintenance issues. Aircon did not work, scullery overflooded cuz of dishwasher leak, tap in kitchen was lose so overflooded the floor, outside doors could not open, safe was locked on arrival. Most issues except the aircon were sorted but always caused unhappinness as it required daily calls to the manager on site. The aircon was not fixed as we were told it was holiday season. If the unit had been checked prior to us arriving this could have been sorted. We requested a nominal refund for all the inconvenience and were told the owners said no. With this attitude I cannot recommend Lake Pleasant as they are not willing to recognize the fact that when you are on holiday and paying R 3000 a night you are expecting top notch service which we did not receive. The house was dirty and full of spiders. But good news the Manager organised a broom for us so we could clean it ourselves ! Wifi is very bad as well but this was not an issue for us, However they should not advertise that they have it.

Beautiful location but very badly maintained resulting in a disappointing experience

This was our first visit to Lake Pleasant Living and we were 'pleasantly' surprised!! Huge 2-bedroom suite, fully equipped with all amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. Adult and kiddies pool and beautifully maintained gardens. We had the suite closest to the pool and had the most amazing view of the lake and mountains. We really had a wonderful 7 nights and will definitely return!!

Sedgefield visit

If you look at the website it looks awesome and the only reason I gave it 3 is because the Villas are really nice inside and out. If you love insects, especially mosquitoes, then come here. They count in the 1000’s  if not 100 000’s. You cannot sit outside at night as you will be drained of blood and that makes it crap for holiday makers. The area is beautiful for birds and nature and .... 
If you expect free wifi you are right @ 3 kbps. Internet sucks and cellphone signal you must hunt to find best strength, so tech people steer clear and naturalist come here. Search elsewhere if you want to sit outside and relax at night or keep the kids entertained on their devices. 

Not as great as what it looks like

From the friendly security arrival staff to the friendly management to the amazing accommodation, highly recommended. Added facility of the resultant is a great help. Peter on hand to receive us and added very helpful local information. Amazing gardens.

Amazing accomadation

We stayed at at Lake Pleasant Living by Mantis for one night en route from Cape Town to Paterson. This place is a hidden gem, located on a beautiful little lake. Each unit is a fully equipped house, perfect for a family get-away.
