Fantastic place with lots of charm. We rented a double room with breakfast. Room spacious and very high standard, with a great view. Golf courses in the area are among the best in South Africa. Weather good in spite we were there in late autumn. A bit earlier would normally be better.

As good as it gets!

OMG what a beautiful place , unique full of character, if this was my home I wouldn’t change a thing , Des the owner was an absolute gem , the sweetest lady you could ever wish to meet . My friend and I had 2 rooms which were delightful, the decor and the bedding were top quality , the dining room was very quaint, Des did a lovely breakfast cooked to order , the views were stunning over the ocean . Plumes was quite easy to find even without a sat nav , Plumes is situated right at the top of the hill which was a bit daunting at first but you soon got used to it . There was lots to see and do , plenty of good eating places . The beach is lovely , everywhere is clean and feels safe .

Could have stayed a week

 Des & Vic are the best hosts we had during our trip! They are so friendly and helpful , always responding on all wishes. The breakfast was everyday different and a Highlight- Thank you both! In the evening Vic invited us to a glas of wine and we had good conversations. The House is on top of the hill - a steep Drive but with a unique view on the bay. We had the Family Suite with two rooms and sea view. All rooms are so nice equipped , everything clean and luxerious.

A spot of tranquillity, elegance and hospitality – done with unique taste. This was a really special place – the type you see in movies. From physical structure to layout to design and finishes – not to mention the amenities, the view, the breakfast and the hospitality (no request too big or small). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the warm company of Des and Victor.

Sad to leave but certainly aim to return :)

Simply perfect!

Lovely place, very good location, close to everything one needs. Beautiful rooms. Very stylish house, one of a kind actually, and wonderful hosts. Decent breakfast. A place I am looking forward to coming back to.

A real gem

Wilderness is my preferred place on the Garden Route. I however stayed for the dirt time in Plunes. Beautiful Guesthouse, friendly, quiet... clean.. What do you need more for a pleasant stay. The rooms are big and stylish...Des does a perfect job. Excellent breakfast...
