This was my second time staying at a SUM hostel. My first was 3 years ago at SUM Jeju Island. And both were a good experience. I arrived late because I just got off KTX train from Seoul around 00:37 so I took taxi to the hostel. WRONG MOVE 😂 because it's sooo far from KTX station so the taxi fare was 30 or 40 thousand KRW 😭. So if you plan to stay here, make sure you arrive when the subway is still available. The hotel is located in the street next to main street of the Heundae Beach street. It's 5 min walk to the nearest subway station and 10min walk to the beach. LOADS of restaurants, cosmetic shops and convenience stores around so it's indeed convenient. At first it might be hard to spot the place because the signage is a bit small, look for ECONOMY inn instead because its in the same building. Sum is on 5th floor. Upon my arrival, no one on the reception but on the desk I found a note containing my room info and towel for me. I stayed at 4-bed female only dorm. My room was in the 6th floor, hello stairs! The room is quite spacious, has aircon and locker inside. Bathroom is communal, on the 5th floor, next to kitchen and dining place. Breakfast is from 8-10, consist of bread butter jam and 3 choices of cream soup (beef, mushroom, plain) that you have to cook by yourself. They clean the place from 11am so they expected you to go out while they're cleaning. 

Always a good time with SUM

Staff can speak english and helpful tool. The location can't beat, many restaurant nearby and the Haeundae market with many local food can be found here. Walk straight toward can reached haeundae beach, from there you can walk along the seaside till Apec building. At there, you can probably see the Gwang An bridge. What a amazing view.

Great location

Walk out from Haeundae Metro station and walk towards the Haeundae beach. Its just 2 street from the station. Walking takes around 5 minutes. The beach is just 10 minutes away. Location wise is pretty good. 

Generally hotel is pretty clean. You will be given a security code for your room upon check-in.  Every room is locked with a password. The hotel is located at the 5th floor, elevator available. The receptionist is nice. 

Restaurants are available around hotel. So food is not a problem. Haeundae Market is just 3 streets away. 

Overall a pretty pleasant stay.

Clean, Safe, Good location

SUM Premium Guesthouse is located less than 10 minutes walk from the subway station. Not only that, it is about 10 minutes walk to Haeundae beach as well. The staffs here speaks decent English and you can always ask them for recommendation of what to eat nearby. Within walking distance there are convenience stores, Daiso, lots of food option, the Haeundae market and a little further will take you to Homeplus too :) slightly further down from the road you can get a bus to Haedong Yonggungsa temple.
Further up from the beach there is the Nurimaru APEC and Dongbaeksom island and at the other opposite end there is the Gwangalli Hoe where they have the world's largest complex of sashimi.
