This motel is located within a 5-minute walk of both the Express and Intercity Bus Terminals. The easiest way to find it is to turn left between McDonald's and Dal.Kom Coffee and then carry on straight until you reach Hanjin Hostel where you turn right and you will find the motel named in both Korean and English  on your right immediately after Tae Yang Jang Motel. The motel has its own car park with space for several cars. It is within walking distance of all the sights in Central Gyeongju whereas buses 10 and 11 leave from the other opposite side of the road to McDonald's for Bulguk-sa, Namsan and Lake Bomun. The couple who own this motel can speak good English, try to be friendly and are also very helpful with answering any questions you may have. One very useful thing they give you is a homemade map that lists all the tourist sites in Central Gyeongju some of which are not even mentioned in the Lonely Planet. The street outside is very quiet with next to total silence at night and I wasn't even aware of the presence of any other guests most of the time. However, there was a buzzing mosquito in my room which did bite me which stopped me sleeping. I suggest the owners provide an electronic mosquito killer plugged into the electric socket so as to avoid this problem.

The rooms are very comfortable and nicely-decorated. The walls are black and silver in colour (ideal camouflage for mosquitoes) while the bedroom floor is wooden and both the genkan area and bathroom floors are tiled. My room came with a comfortable double bed with clean bed linen and pillows. The furniture was mainly light green in colour and consisted of a sofa with a table in front of it, a bedside table and a long desktop where there was a telephone, a computer, a kettle, tissues, tea and coffee, a large comb and hairbrush, hairspray plus skin cream and lotion. Hanging on the wall, there is a hairdryer, a mirror and TV although the television channels are nearly all in Korean with just Eurosport commentary in English. A fridge containing 2 bottles of water and two other drinks is under the desk with a soft stool provided as well as several towels and a shower cap. There is no wardrobe, but there are two clothes hangers on the wall. The window in the room had a mosquito net, glass panel and shutters. The outer mosquito net part was broken though and couldn't be locked. There is air conditioning and free WiFi with a good signal in the room.

The genkan is provided with bedroom and bathroom slippers and has a motion-sensitive light that switches on when you enter the area.

The bathroom is fully tiled and is provided with a bath tub which contains a shower, but warm water takes several minutes to come out. There is a wash basin that is located very low down and is at a rather uncomfortable height for washing your hair unless you are a dwarf. Also, the plug was permanently in the out position. I don't know whether this might me to discourage people from using it to do their laundry. There is also a toilet with some tissues, soap and a drinking glass. Shampoo, rinse and body wash are also provided.

The rooms are not cleaned every day, but towels and drinking water can be changed by just informing the owners. There is no breakfast provided, but there are eateries nearby. Paris  Baguette is good for breakfast. Most coffee shops don’t open until 10am.  

I was generally satisfied with my stay and would stay here again the next time I am in Gyeongju.
