Extremely helpful reception staff with excellent English made our trip to this budget hostel in the centre of Nampo outstanding.
It's slightly hidden (just behind the escalator to the base of Busan Tower) immediately off one of the main shopping streets, very close to a huge Lotte Shopping Mall, and within easy walking distance of the very wonderful street food Bupyeong (Kkangton) night market.
The rooms are small and basic, we had a double with ensuite bathroom, and free WIFI (no TV). Mattresses are hard by western standards but normal for Korea, we compromised by sleeping on top of the quilt, not under it, and were fine.
If you are taking the ferry to Japan, ask staff to get you a taxi - it's only about 4,000 won (US$ 4) and the metro and walk are impractical to the new International terminal.

Budget hostel in downtown Busan

Nice place to stay for solo traveller. Located at Jungang Station exit 3, two minute walk. Near to Busan Tower, Jagalchi Market, Nampo street and Gukje Market. Comfy bed and delicious breakfast. Worth value for money.

Good choices to stay

The staff at the hostel were very attentive. We traveled with bicycles and there was no problem in storing them in the suitcase room. The hostel is very large and the kitchen and living room are very neat. They have games to pass the dead mice. The internet works very fast. It is an economical hostel, so don't expect big luxuries, but in every bathroom there is free toothpaste and soap to shower. The breakfast is good, with toasted jam and juice. On Fridays they organize a dinner for which you can eat a lot at a good price and meet the rest of the guests.

Very well!

It locates at very central location in Nampo which is a shopping areas full of nice restaurants. You need to climb up a small slope in front of the guesthouse and the guesthouse itself has no lift facilities, so if you are carry heavy lugguges, it will not be a suitable choice. 

I lived with my friends in a 4-bed dorminory for 3 nights, it's tidy but the room was a little bit small. There is no separate shower area in the toilet and i don't know if there is any design problem, we found that water from the sink will also drain to the toilet floor! so even if we just wash our hands or go clean up in the morning, your feet will get wet. 

The bed is fairly ok but the most disappointment is that there are a few mosquito in the room which highly affect my sleeping quality in the night. Even i turned the air-con down, it didn't help.

Excellent Location but will have better choice

Staying for just a night during the cherry blossom season. Convenient location, as it is just 3-5 mins walk away from the Nampo metro station. Since Nampo is located in the city centre, there are lots of good places for sight visit. Busan towel, lotte mall, BIFF night market are all nearby. A dormitory room for 4 persons with private bathroom is quite small in size, the interior room design and decoration is on average, but there is no lift, so it is not quite convenient if you are with some big and heavy luggages. Wifi connection is good and the staff is nice. Free self-served breakfast is also provided in the morning. Overall it was a quite nice experience!^^

Best choice for budget travellers

Stayed here for 3 nights and I simply love it. Staff was friendly. Interior design was nice. Bed comfy. En suite shower room with heater was clean and spacious. Free WiFi was fast. Best of all? You have busan lighthouse behind, port in front,  u r in the midst of shopping area, diagonally there's lotte mall and biff and walk further a bit will be jagachi fish market. Oh, budget traveller like me loves simple but complimentary breakfast. Will love to stay here again.
Cons: u may need to climb stairs n it can b rather steep for older people or kids?

Clean Nice Comfy

The young couple who run the house are friendly and very helpful. The ambience is nice and everything is clean... DYI breakfast is fun...The guesthouse is located directly across the street from the subway in downtown and you can get to sights like Yongsan Park or Jagalchi Fish Market from there.
