Well priced in area of all sights to see in Gyeongiu. Walked to observation tower, tombs,  palace and pond, and traditional village. Room very clean and excellent shower pressure. Coffee and tea only for breakfast, but this was lowest priced hotel in our 3 week Asia tour.

Very Good Budget Hotel

Staying at this hotel at the moment for total 3 nights. After staying in shoe boxe guesthouses in Seoul and Andong this place is paradise. I am staying in the small double room. by "small" I mean I have a lounge area with couch and a coffee table. even with a double bed and all that I still have plenty of room to move around. And the bathroom actually has a bath tub. not that I intent to use it but it's just so nice to not having to shower over the bathroom vanity like all other guesthouses I've stayed in the last 2 weeks. 

There are all the amenities a traveller would need in the room.. from grooming products to phone/laptop charging cables. and the huge high def flat screen tv is a nice touch together with the high speed in room wifi box. 

The owner Edward is fantastic and friendly and speaks good English. He is helpful and responsive and offers great advices. 

The location of the hotel is superb with walking distance to most inner city sites and close to public transport to the further away sites. there are also plenty of places to eat around. and of course heaps of mini marts everywhere. The hotel is also very close to the intercity bus terminal so take the bus if you are planning to stay here.

it's really a lovely place to stay for a few days while checking out Gyeongju. I've very much recommend it if you want to find a place near the action and comfortable and on the budget side. Look elsewhere if you are after a place with room service and candies on pillows.

Totally awesome place to stay

Stayed for 2 nights when visiting Gyeongju after reading the other reviews saying that the location was good. It is! We found this hotel to be very handy in a great location only a short walk from the intercity bus terminal (we took a bus here from Busan which was so easy). We were able to walk to the sites in Gyeonju from Apple house motel the first day- to the tombs, the parks, the Gyo Chon Hanok Village, the museum and the wolji pond- all amazing!! The owner of the hotel was so friendly and helpful- he gave us a brilliant map and planned our route for us (so handy!!). He also gave us a larger map of the greater Gyeongju area for the next day when we visited Bulguksa temple & Seokguram grotto on the number 11 bus (the bus stop is across the road from mc Donald's which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, you can also take bus number 10).
The hotel was really clean. The decor is random but makes no difference as it's so handy, really clean, excellent air conditioning, quiet, great value and a really friendly helpful owner. I highly recommend this hotel, it was a great choice & Gyeongju is an amazing place, we loved it! 
(By the way if you are coming to Gyeongju by train, the KTX station is called 'Singyeongju' and is located out of the town, we took bus number 50 from outside mc Donald's to get to the station, same side of the road & this took 20 mins,there are other buses going to the KTX station too).

Perfect base to see Gyeongju, very handy location

The place, which is located just by the city centre, and close to the Tombs park. Close to bus station and buses to both standard and high-speed railway stations, delivers to the standard it claims to be, so a 2-2,5 star, albeit the interior design is outdated. Pinkish chairs and orange tables are not that fashionable these days. The staff is friendly and speaks good English, numerous booklets and maps (good maps, which is not common in Korea) are available. Room was spacious, but the main problem is that the windows are to an extremely narrow passage between buildings, so you get barely any light.

delivers good sleep, but not daylight

I booked here for 3 nights, but left after the first night. The owner kindly upgraded me to a fairly large room on the ground floor, but the double bed was so hard that I hardly slept at all. The free wifi was good, but there were no English channels on the TV and the bar fridge was so small that I had to remove all the shelves to squeeze in a litre carton of milk and a carton of orange juice.
The room was very clean, but the small window with metal bars and no view gave me claustrophobia. The owner agreed to refund most of the cost of the remaining two nights, and gave me directions to my next hotel (GG Tourist Hotel). He is very friendly, speaks fairly good English and knows the places of tourist interest and how best to get there. 
My taxi driver had difficulty finding this place, so you should have the exact address and phone number.  This review reflects my own experience here, and others who need budget accommodation may well find it acceptable. I did about 30 years of backpacking a long time ago, but it may suit today’s backpackers if they can sleep on a hard bed and don’t watch TV.

Could not sleep on hard bed

Glowing reviews here, but overrated I think. This is a 2.5 star hotel and it delivers to that standard. It is well-positioned, close to bus terminals and is clean. Our room was small. Towels here are small. Room wasn’t serviced for our second night.
