What an amazing place.
Everyone so friendly.
Joseph one treated me as one of the family and even ran out to the bus stop when she realised I was on the wrong side of the road.
Very homely and a nice egg toast breakfast newspapers and free bike!
The dorm had everything supplied even hair straighteners and brushes.
Would definitely recommend.

This is guesthouse is outstanding for they money. It's a bit outside of the city, but is right on a bus line with easy access to Manjanggul and Sunrise Peak. The setting is beautiful in a little ocean side town, and is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. The owner was the most friendlist and most helpful guesthouse owner I've encountered and would spend downstairs with the guests every evening I was there.

The new owners Josephine and Mr Moon encouraged us to cycle to Manjanggul Cave (about 5km one way) and it was pretty fun. It feels more like a homestay than a guesthouse, with lots of attentions paid to small details lacked by other guesthouses (eg. the little stool placed at the corner of the lower bed beside the climbing deck for the upper bed to make it easier for guest to climb up). 

Windmills are within sight, and the Woljeong beach is just a few min walk. The guesthouse is about 1.5hr with bus (701) from Seogwipo - alight at the Gujwa Jungang Elementary School (start to pay attention once you spot the first windmill during the bus ride). The guesthouse is directly opposite the school. Seongsan Ichulbong is about 30-40 min bus ride away, while Jeju-si is an hours ride (also with bus 701). The guesthouse is a quiet little place - we missed it immediately once we arrived Jeju-si.

If you are going to Lava tubes the location is good! But the small beach town around the place don't have nothing much. There is just one ATM and one shop. Beach is small but really nice, there is few really really nice cafes but no restaurants. The hostel was probably the best in Jeju! Very clean, Joseph was really kind and helpful. Really peaceful place to stay :) there were also few little very cute 2 months old puppies, on front yard of the house, always to welcome us in.

I spent three nights at Joseph Tree House( August 2012.) It was a lovely stay. Joseph himself is a very sweet man who was so helpful and accommodating. It you want seclusion, peace, and a whole lot of quote (unless you and the other guests make the noise) this place is exactly that. 
SO Clean (guest pitch in), great bathroom facility and full equipped kitchen. The place is a lot newer then it looks in the photos. You are 7 min walking from the beach and it's in the middle of wonderful wilderness. I went for nice walks and just enjoyed the beach every day. The rooms are large just two-one mixed and one girls only. Calm and cool, nothing amazing but good space. There is NO grocery story around so he drove us once per day and we cooked family style. Stay here if you go to Jeju!
