We enjoyed a relaxing two night stay at Monteview stay. The hosts Anne and Sten were warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. The room is clean and has plenty of room with a good tv and some nice extra touches like water. The bathroom is modern and the shower is very nice. What made our stay was both Sten and Anne’s hospitality and the location with a wonderful view and close proximity to the beach and some lovely cafes/restaurants. 5+++

Lovely location and amazing hosts 

We arrived late at night and struggled to get to the reception to check in. There's no sign to show where it is. Fortunately I found some guests in the kitchen/dinning area and one of the local guy was so helpful to call the host out from her house for me.  The host was very nice, detailed and friendly. The room was a bit small unexpectedly but clean. The only special thing was that they put the bedsheet over the quilt so virtually there no new bed sheet for the mattress. The pool was empty with no water during our stay. There's some outdoor area and a small indoor community living space//Kitchen/Dinning area sharing for all the patrons. The breakfast was overall good but surprisingly you need to cook your own hot plate (eggs and sausage). During our stay, it almost full house, so there's some wait to get your bread toasted, juice or coffee,... and queue to cook. And the breakfast was started quite late, only 8:30am in the morning. Also, you are requested to clean up the dishes after you have done your breakfast. So be prepared and to me it is kind of a luxury youth hostel style of accomodation.

A high-end Youth Hostel

This Hotel has been one of my highlights in my korean grand tour.

The Hotel is located about 40 min from Jeju International Airport by taxi and only 300 m from an amazing coastline in Sagye. All hotel rooms have wonderful views on Mountain Sanbang (in Korean Sanbangsan), which can be reached in about 20 min by foot. 
The highlight of this amazing location would be in my opinion the beach as well as the entire coastline through Songaksan (Songak Mountain), where the hike route number 10 runs. The hike goes through a cliff, pine forests with views on Sanbagsan as well as on the coastline and the Islands Gapa and Mara etc.). 
If you get bored, the O'Sulloc Tea Museum and the Jungmun resort area are conveniently located with about 15 min drive.

Rooms are big, very clean and with much details very well designed with a korean floor heating system and very confortable beds.

It was the nicest host I've ever got so far (and I travel a lot). The hotel host helped me with tips on where to go on Jeju Island. They prepared a wonderful breakfast and showed extreme care on my stay and I felt being part of the family. They even invited me for dinner in a nearby restaurant (I couldn't go alone because the restaurant doesn't serve for only one person). They took care ordering taxis and rented me their bike for my journeys. I would like to thank each one of them for making my stay a wonderful experience.

PS: It happened that a super typhoon lashed Jeju on one night. It was a scary but an adventure to remember for a lifetime.

Amazing Hotel in Jeju Island near a wonderful coastline

We stayed here for two nights and had an amazing time. The host was very responsive and helpful before we arrived. Once we reached this place we wanted to do a BBQ at night and since it was raining the entire day he helped to clean up one of the Pavillion and let us use his electronic grill to do our BBQ. We brought all kinds of food to do it ourselves but he still added food from his side to our dinner. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with a TV, bathroom, toiletries and towels as well as a fridge, basically all and more than you expect. There was one room which served breakfast in the morning and during the day it was accessible to borrow some plates, cutleries and glasses and at night we were able to watch a movie on the projector screen. He was very helpful with tips in what to do. All in all a fantastic stay with a great host that helps with everything you might need.
