You may miss the place the first time you go there because their signage is not that visible. Once you find it, you'll see that it is in a good location. It is just a block away from the subway station and the main road.The entrance is very narrow and involves at least 2 to 3 flights of stairs so it is not advisable if you're traveling with some oldies. There are a lot of nearby establishments where you can eat. The reception area looks a bit messy and no one is manning the desk most of the time. However, there is a CCTV in the reception area and rooms are secured by locks that could be opened with your personalized combination. The guesthouse provides for drinking water, accessible to all guests. There is a roofdeck that could have been a nice lounging area if not for the garbage left lying around. The rooms are quite small and has a few sockets. Better bring an extension and check if you'll be needing an adapter for your electronics. The bathroom needs thorough cleaning and ample lighting. They provide for small towels and simple toiletries such as shampoo and soap. There is no closet but they have hooks on the wall and a few hangers for your clothes. The airconditioner works fine. For a very affordable price, you really just get the basic amenities of a room or a decent accommodation.

Myeongdong Town Guesthouse

Don't stay there!! It looks nothing like on the pictures, it's super dirty, nobody at reception to welcome you nor assist you with your bags, and no safe area to store them if you arrive there before checkin time. There was a weird odour in the bathroom, the rooftop, which was supposed to be the "common area" for all guests, was a huge mess, and there's no kitchen nor living room. I picked this guesthouse because it was in the middle of downtown, near shopping areas and a subway station, but even the street where it's located doesnt look safe not welcoming at all. For the same price, you can find much better in Myeongdong.

Just go somewhere else

If you looking for a clean place to stay, you have to avoid this guesthouse.Bathroom was dirty but it is ok for a short stay. It is in a good location near Myeongdong and not too far from Cheonggyecheon Stream. However, it is not easy to find nearby restaurands at night. It is suitable for this price.

Average stay

If you are looking for cheap, basic accommodation then this is ok.  Located on the outskirts of Myeongdong in an area dedicated to building supplies and tools. Narrow stairs to reception area, wifi only in this area, which also provides hot and cold water machine, communal fridge available.  Rooms were small, with ensuite that was serviceable but could do with a good clean.  The bed did have a clean bottom sheet, but no top sheet, and a quilt that had been used by others.  On the bright side the room was warm and the staff friendly.  Close to metro and 15 minute walk to Myeongdong shopping area.  Walked to Seoul Tower from Guesthouse.  Booked two nights, only stayed one.  Ok but not for us.
