This is also known as Hostel KW Myeongdong. The hostel's location is just 5 minutes walk to the famous Myeongdong Shopping area and 3 minutes walk to Myeongdong Subway Station.  

The staff was helpful. The room was ok nothing special but it has the basics - hair dryer, towel and toiletries.

If you have a layover in Seoul and you want to explore the city. This is the ideal budget hostel for you.

Best Budget Hostel in Myeongdong

I booked on this hostel because i read about how near it is in Myeongdong shopping district. True enough its just few blocks away from the Stores and restaurants in busy streets of Myeongdong.  We booked an economy twin room at 144,000₩ for 4 nights about 144$  At this price, i really dont mind all the other things.  

Compared to other hostel i have been in Seoul, this probably the oldest and most outdated in terms of facilities.  The room is small but you can still move around. You can see molds in the toilet so i can't honestly say it was clean.  The towels are almost tearing apart. The bed was a bit hard almost like sleeping on wooden bed.

Toiletries like shampoo and conditioner are provided. There is small fridge in the room which is something good. Free water hot and cold, coffee and tea at the pantry.  The staff were nice.  These are some of at least the good things about this hostel aside from the location and free WIFI. Its also very near subway and airport bus stop.

I will not recommend this hostel for families or if you are traveling with old people.  There is no elevator, the roomcan be cramped.  For this travel we really did not stay mich in the hostel we were out the whole day so i didn't mind the room that  much but i guess you can also find a better place with a few more dollars, just that specific to this stay 36$ for a night in this area was not bad.

Nothing but Good Location

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and it was an absolute nightmare. We had elderly travelling with us and they were not well, it was 10am in the morning when we arrived and requested for an early check in, the young female receptionist refused to help and gave us attitude. She got so grumpy and rang up the manager to complained about us in Korean. Not only did she not offer to help, she walked out and spoke on phone for half an hour complaining about us. Nothing was resolved for 1.5 hr. I couldnt believe this is The room was horrible, there were flies and dirts everywhere and the toilet was not cleaned properly. There was no shower room or bathtub, and the water leaks out to the sleeping area after shower. There was no room service at all. I would rather pay a bit more to live in a more decent hotel than this!!!!

WORST HOTEL EVER

Sejong inn has very accommodating staff. Less than 5 minutes walk from Myeongdong station and airport bus stop. Breakfast is good (toast, cereal, fruits, coffee, milk, juice). The rooms were exactly the same with the pictures shown here. Fast WiFi.

I stayed here for 5 nights total. I went to Jeju island between my stay and they agreed to store my luggage for free during the 3 days I was not checked-in.

Close to Train Station

The best thing about Sejong in is its location - about 10 minutes walk from Myeongdong Station (I forgot which exit) and the airport bus stop. We got a standard double room. Beddings were okay and we were given the basics. Breakfast was composed of toast, jam and milk. We were assigned to a room on the 5th floor and they had no elevator so it was quite an effort bring our luggage up and down upon arrival and departure.

The room was just enough for the bed and a bit of room for luggage and moving around. We stayed sometime October last year and weather was somewhere between 5-12 degrees C. Their heater was enough to keep us warm :)

Pet peeves: They didn't clean the rooms and we had to take our trash outside the room door for them to pick up. We had to ask for new towels in order for the hotel staff to change them. The comfort room was small.
