The place is very homey. They won me over with the sheep decorations, I'm completely obsessed with sheep. The owner was very kind and helped me with my luggage. He made me feel very welcome, as did the other guests staying there. I stayed in the "Coffee" room, which is the one in the pictures with red striped bed spread and is a private room. It is right next to the bathroom, which was very clean and had some toiletries and hair dryer that guests could use. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and if I'm in the area again, looking for a hostel, I'd be happy to book with them again.

Perfect location in Hongdae area

Hongdae is right on Sweet Comforts doorstep which makes it perfect for a visit to Seoul. You'll find yourself right in the heart of the busy city, within an area that has everything you'd want for an incredible stay. I've stayed at many places in Seoul but this was by far the best. The guesthouse itself is small, but the rooms are perfect. It feels like your own little home with all the things you need. Very clean, kitchen stocked full of bits and pieces to make breakfast, enough bathrooms so that there isn't a queue. The icing on the cake is Lucy. Such a warm host who welcomed me in with open arms. She was incredibly helpful and she will no doubt make your trip around Seoul easier. The only issue I had was other guests being a little noisy as they came in from their night out partying which woke me up, however, I think that happens no matter where you stay. I've stayed here three times and each time was the best. If you are looking for a great guesthouse I assure you you will not be disappointed. Thanks Lucy!

The perfect place to stay in Seoul

Feel at home and Lucy has been there all the way guiding us from the time we landed at Incheon Airport going to Sweet comfort, she made sure we are safely inside. The place is near Hongik University so, its easy to travel from the airport with AREX line and lots of cafe in this location due to a lot of students.

Home Away from Home

I was able to book this guesthouse last minute on travelocity due to my mom and brother visiting me in Korea and wanting to go to Seoul for a weekend. 

John and Lucy were extremely hospitable and made my mom and brother's first trip to Seoul so memorable. We stayed in the blueberry room which had a bunk bed and a single bed.

The guesthouse is in a great area and there are a lot of great eateries nearby. I truly enjoyed my stay here and definitely plan to come back for my next trip to Seoul!

I will be recommending this guesthouse to my friends as well. It is truly a sweet comfort~

Sweet Comfort... Literally!

Sweet Comfort Guesthouse indeed lives up to its name!

Room: We chose the 2 bedroom apartment and it did not disappoint. It is exactly as it is in the pictures. Clean and spacious rooms, soft pillows and comforters, comfortable beds. The color theme is very conducive for relaxing after a long day of walking and touring

Restroom: spacious and clean, with hot and cold water, functioning toilet, toilet paper, with hooks for hanging clothes, with toiletries and towels

Common area: Complete with refrigerator, kettle, induction stove, toaster, utensils and plates and mugs

General: very safe, each room has its own keypad for an electronic lock. Very fast wifi in our room. The owners are very diligent in their practice of trash segregation; it is obvious that they put great importance in cleanliness. The place is also very accessible to the subway and hangout places but at the same time, the place is quiet and safe because it is at one of the inside streets instead of along the main street.

We met the owner John and he is very accommodating. Also, we corresponded with Lucy via e- mail and she answered our questions adequately and promptly. They also provided a map so we won't get lost. I will surely recommend this to my friends and when we get back to Seoul, I will surely book this guesthouse again.
