We are a family of four and we're looking for an apartment where we could cook and explore the surrounding area.  The communication with the owners was great and check in was seamless.  The view from the apartment was beautiful, and it is located on a narrow cobblestone street in the village.  The kitchen is large and well stocked.  The wifi worked well and we were able to watch the beginning of the Eurocup with no problem.  Right down from the apartment is a cafe/bar that has an outside terrace overlooking the canyon.  And right behind the apartment is the trailhead that takes you down to the river and cave at the bottom of the canyon.  It was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the natural beauty of the area.

Lovely Spacious Apartment!

Lovely, spacious and well laid-out apartments with most amenities, including washer-dryer and powerful air conditioning for those HOT Alquezar afternoons and evenings. Only complaints: no dish washer, which can be a  hassle if you are with a large family and cooking dinners in the apartment. Also, the caretaker is friendly and welcoming but NOT located on site, which was never a problem but is a big difference from most hotels and even apart-hotels. (You must call her if you get locked out.)

In addition to a comfortable, home-like apartment with little balconies and cute porthole windows, the location is excellent, up a cobblestoned medieval street close to the bodega and secondary town plaza, only 5 minutes from the central plaza mayor and large selection of restaurants. 

Overall: Staying in an apartment, shopping in and wandering around Alquezar was a major highlight of two weeks in the French and Spanish Pyrenees -- and a fabulous "authentic Aragonese" experience that felt much more "Spanish" than anything in semi-autonomous Catalonia. This is a small town that, despite tourist hordes from France, preserves some essential Spanish traditions and dishes out big helpings of hospitality. Most stores, restaurants and facilities close for siesta -- just accept it and take a nap yourself. Also be sure to hit the plaza mayor for excellent sangria overlooking the castle and the gorgeous landscape.

Great location in a real Pyrenean gem of a town: Definitely visit!

We had two apartments and both were fantastic -- great views, plenty of room, well appointed, clean, close to a market and all the attractions.  We appreciated the A/C, the dishwasher, and the laundry machine as well!  Our only challenge was driving there when we arrived -- the Medieval streets are very narrow with just enough room for one car despite being two-way.  We were able to drop our luggage and park a 10-minute walk away, and everything we wanted to see was easily reached on foot.  It was a bit noisy the first night because there was a festival and lots of people were coming and going in the echoing stairwell, but it was much better the next night.  The wifi took some work to get connected to.

Modern living on a Medieval street

The appartment was modern, had 2 bedrooms, living room with kitchen, one bathroom, all rooms are big with good light, all the things to cook. The only minor problem was the heating, is electric and although the owners were very kindly and when we arrived the heating was working for several hours, I have to tell you that the first night the appartment was a little cold. The second day the temperature was hot enough. The appartments are very near (50-70 m) to the town center and 100 m from the public parking. You can arrive next to the door with the car and not to carry the luggage from the public parking, although the street is narrow and steppy. We recomended the place for the price, the quality, the owners, and the street is only a minor problem (the whole town is up and down) and the healing only in the coolest winter months. The place has and a/c sistem for summer.
