The house is very beautiful - the owners explained that it's an old house, around 100 years old, and it keeps its wood and rock spirit, but at the same time is very well conditioned: good heating, wifi everywhere, etc. They offer vegetarian dinner and a big breakfast, but we ate somewhere else in town. They were very friendly. The town is very small, so even if you cannot park close to the posada, you will have not problem reaching it from the parking on the town border. It has many small shared areas to read, rest, etc.

Cozy location with a strong personality

Great town. Any location is a good one in this small town. Service was good. They take credit cards and thank you to the person that also had a bed and breakfast that suggested this one, because she didn't take credit cards. If you plan to eat here (optional supper and breakfast), you have to be vegetarian. The food is pretty good and they cooked it from scratch. We ate at 9:30 pm which was fine with us. They even sold an organic wine that was decent. We met some interesting people and lucky they spoke English. It's a good base for hiking.

Cooking from scratch

One of Spain's prettiest villages is hidden away in the Pyrenees. Cobbled narrow streets surround the square with various small shops, bars and period buildings. Posada Magoria is a true mountain hideaway with wooden floors and an antique character. Walkers, skiers in winter and popular with Spanish visitors in summer this hidden B&B doesn't disappoint. No lift or "modern" trappings here but the beds and food are comfortable and the hospitality welcoming.

Anso - Mountain village

Charming and cosy, but not for everyone.

Me and my wife spent two nights in Anso in June/15, and we selected to stay at Magoria based on the bedroom pictures and reviews we found online. It was definitely a posada well put together, with much care from the owners, who also live in the building. The bedroom we stayed was located in the loft,  it was charming and with a very comfortable bed. A little bit warm though, especially during the heat wave that hit the Pirenees this summer.
However we didn't really enjoy our stay completely. We don't really know what happened, but the owners were a little cold towards us since the moment we arrived. We were a little puzzled because they seemed nice people, and I must stress they were never rude to us, they were nice, but we didn't fell fully welcomed. We thought maybe the language barrier, but I'm a native portuguese speaker and speak a broken but good enough spanish, so we had no clue what was the issue. The family lives and uses the same house as the posada, so we definetly felt a little bit intruding their space. I think this is an issue with places like this. That's why I don't think Magoria is for everyone, because you as a guest have to be able to engage the owners, and they have to be very good at welcoming people. This didn't happen to us. 
They also offer dinner at the posada, but we didn't try it as it was vegetarian, and honestly I wasn't going to try vegetarian food while in Spain. We did try the breakfast, and didn't think what was offered was worth the price. Some jam, bread, good granola, coffee and milk, but not worth the 6 euros.

Cozy and charming posada, but not for everyone

This is a lovely way to stay in a real guest home, not just a guest house, which gives it a certain charm and gives you exposure to life in a remote and beautiful part of the world. Our room was comfortable with vintage decor. The host cooks healthy and superb meals including an amazing nettle soup which we thoroughly enjoyed. Its a great location and our host put us onto one of the most beautiful drives out of the mountains that you would wish to see. We only had time for one night in the house on our way to Barcelona but this village and natural environment in this region is definitely worth a visit. We had hoped to have views of the alps from the room based on TripAdvisor research, nevertheless it is still an authentic trip to an historic village. We didn't expect to find 5 star accommodation in this town but what we found here was more than adequate.
