We were on the top floor in a smallish double room.  Good AirCon.  Hotel is a little tired but has nice staff and good food.  Wifi is poor.  Good parking and nice pool.  Would definately stay here again

Good value Great food and staff

Stopped here on our way back to Santander.
Find it via Booking.com and very pleased.
We had a room in the roof, which had plenty of character.
Beds comfortable, good sized bathroom and decent shower.
Breakfast was also fine.
Beautiful old building with plenty of character.
Has it’s own bar, but we did not arrive until 23:45 so too late to sample.
Would stay here again.

Quaint country house

We went to have lunch there and the menu is an all-you-can-eat menu, but it is not a buffet.  You sit at the table, and  you are given a menu where there is only one price, 22 euros for the whole meal, no matter how much you eat.  as you turn the menu over you see a round 18 first  and 10 main course dishes, 1 bottle of wine per person included.  There is only one "rule"  that you eat the food served.  that is to say, if you are four at the table, you ask for 4 first course dishes.... once they have been eaten, then you can order another 4, and once finished another 4 and so on.  Which seems reasonable.  It's not good to throw away food!!  

The dishes are great quality, and really varied.  The ambiance is gorgeous, so elegant.  It is a little noisy, but no wonder, you have to book 2 or 3 weeks in advance  as it is so full of clients!!

An air of Englishness in Northern Spain,

We have stayed here before and find it ideal if you come off the ferry travelling to the south of Spain. The rooms are very spacious, tastefully furnished and pet friendly. The food in the restaurant was less good than previously but the house wine is very good and not expensive. The staff/owners are friendly and obliging.

Quiet and noiseless. ... Many lounges to just sit, relax or chat with family and friends having chocolate and "churros"or with unbeatable cake "sobao pasiego".

La mejor opción en Las Fraguas en el Valle de Iguña. 

Incomparable situación y paisajes. 

Tranquilidad y total ausencia de ruidos. 

Numerosas estancias para sentarse, charlar con amigos o familiares o tomar un estupendo chocolate con churros o, aún  mejor, con sobaos pasiegos. ... Buenísimos! 

Muy buena calidad y variedad gastronómica así como a destacar el trato al cliente; especial mención Sandra. .

Amazing! 

This was our second stop on a summer tour of four locations in Cantabria. We chose to stay here for a few nights as the hotel has some nice facilities, such as the lovely outdoor pool and restaurant, and we wanted to stay in and relax. We were not disappointed.

The hotel is based on a restored country house which houses 8 of the bedrooms as well as a nice lounge area. They have developed the hotel with a tasteful extension built in a similar style which is attached to the main house and houses a bar, restaurant and another 15 rooms or so. All the furnishings are to a high standard and the old house and the old house itself is exquisitely decorated. It has the feel of an English countryside hotel, very nice.

On arrival we received a friendly greeting and were escorted to our door which is rarely the case I find. The manager of the hotel popped up everywhere during our stay and was always enquiring as to whether we were ok. The pool area was lovely; spent a whole day lounging by pool and having a swim. It is removed from building which is nice; feels quiet and secluded. 

The restaurant is superb. The menu is charged at €19,80. You order a starter each and share, then another and another (as many as you want until done). Then same with the main course - eat as many dishes as you want! Wine and water included too. So excellent value. Normally standard is not so high when ordering 'eat all you want' meals but this was a-la-carte standard. The croquetas, rabas and langostinos were particularly good. I had tacos de buey for my main which was cooked to perfection and the meat melted in my mouth.

I see some other people had problems with service and room, we certainly did not and would recommend this hotel for a quiet break and also good for families with small children due to the lovely pool and friendly service.
