Talk about hostess with the mostest.  Multilingual Julie has an exquisitely designed and spotlessly-clean home-from-home and manages to nail the admin/smooth running as well as lovingly baking/preparing exceptional breakfasts.  I have no idea how she manages it. Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, great local tapas bar/cafe, and a great stop-off if you're doing a UK, France, Spain run.  Our two doggies were also welcome.

The host was lovely and the house is comfortable and  traditional on the edge of a small medieval town. She is friendly, helpful and accommodating; Eg she asked us when we wanted breakfast. And it was a Tasty wholesome  breakfast with homemade yogurt, granola and carrot cake.

Because of Covid all restaurants were closed, Julie prepared a 3 course meal for us - very tasty. Good value for money👍
We had to leave very early next morning and again she made a nice breakfast for us. Many thanks to Julie you are fantastic.

Very cozy B&B and extremely friendly host 

We stayed in March this year and this was our second visit. We were travelling back to the UK with our dog again and we booked Mas Camins as soon as our plans were in place. As before the village is tranquil and picturesque, the old farmhouse oozes character, the rooms are spacious and the en-suite shower excellent. The breakfasts was once again a true delight with cereal, cold meats and cheese, home made marmalade, yoghurts, excellent bread and nice coffee. Our stay was even better this time though. Firstly, Julie was kind enough to pass on the details for her vet and we arranged for our dog to be given his pre-return worming tablets in Figueres on the evening of our arrival. Secondly, we woke up to another stunning morning and I was able to take our dog for his walk on the paths that surround the village just as Julie was going out to feed her horses. At the breakfast table later we were joined by a very friendly, (and thankfully English speaking), Dutch couple who were travelling north with their daughter. That is one of the lovely things about Mas Camins, you can share your experiences with fellow travellers over breakfast and it certainly made our stay more memorable. A final word about the arbequina olive oil that Julie served with the bread at breakfast. It had a wonderful taste and it went wonderfully well with the local bread. Julie advised that the oil was produced locally and the olive trees are fertilised with the manure from her horses. The circle of life! It was so good I will try and put in an order for a bottle or three when we next pay a visit. 

Our Second visit - what a great place to stay

We had booked in advance to stay overnight in this delightful little place on our way up to Germany from South Eastern Spain. Having parked for free outside, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and were soon settled in to our triple room up on the first floor. This was a cosy room with one comfortable double bed and a single. The old stone walls and large wooden beams confirmed the loving way in which this old farmhouse had been nicely and thoughtfully restored. We had a small, compact bathroom with a walk in shower which worked perfectly. With all the electronics just outside the door we were assured of great WiFi connectivity - an absolute must when travelling with a teenage son nowadays. Oh, and the air conditioning was a positive bonus. 

We were travelling with our Hovawart dog, Aska who was also warmly received - at least by the human hosts. The canine ones were a little less welcoming to her, but nothing to worry about. 

Having settled in we were very appreciative of the chance for a complementary drink on the little terrace before deciding on our plan of action for the evening. 

Breakfast was lovely. We took it outside at a communal table and were later joined by some other guests so be ready to be sociable. As mentioned by other reviewers it included a range of homemade goodies including a lemon, heart shaped cake, fruit joghurt and jams. I really appreciated the freshly pressed orange juice and two cups of cafe con leche. 

This place is certainly off the beaten track but still within a few kms of Figueres. We actually dined out in Roses which isn't so far away either. And  I really enjoyed very late night drinks and tapas in the only bar/restaurant in the square of this tiny village with what seemed to be most of the families living in this nice part of north Catalonia.

Excellent overnight stay in this peaceful, old, restored farmhouse

In a little village just outside Figueras, Mas Camins is a wonderfully homely establishment in a centuries old farmhouse, with its own well and ancient bread oven. Tea and homemade cake was soon on the terrace table after we arrived, where we were able to enjoy the flower and herb filled courtyard garden, while our hostess Julie explained the building's history. Our bedroom on the first floor was calm and comfortable, including a large linen clad bed and decent size en-suit bathroom. A long luxurious nights sleep was followed by a freshly prepared breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurts, meats, toast and homemade jams, which set us up for the day ahead exploring this wonderfully verdant corner of northeast Spain. Multilingual Julie was an excellent and knowledgeable hostess, who has taken so much thought and care in preparing her home to welcome guests from around the world. She and partner Toni deserve to be enormously successful.


Fabulous hospitality in delightfully old farmhouse

In total I stayed there 3 weeks, while training at the near by Polo Club. Hope to get back soon. Lovely and most carring host: Julie! She does a superb job!! Makes most food herself: marmelade, joghurt etc. Fantastic.

We were looking for a place to stay just south of the border before driving north the next day. We had our Spaniel with us so we chose Mas Camins as it is advertised as being dog friendly. The guest house business changed hands in November 2018 and it is now run by Julie. She proved to be an excellent host, she contacted us by WhatsApp to check our ETA and to give us directions and she was on hand when we arrived to ensure that we parked in the correct space which avoided an international incident. The old farmhouse has been lovingly restored with stone arched roofs and walls and some thick wooden beams. The bed was really comfy, with crisp fresh bedding and a super wee en-suite and loads of hot water in the shower. For breakfast we were given continental fare with freshly squeezed orange juice, home made preserves, home made mango yoghurt, toast, cold meats and cheese. We also have a few coffees so we were well set up for the day ahead. The little village is worth a wander around as well, although when we were there the local pub/cafe was shut for the owners holiday. A good stop for an overnight stay or as a base for exploring the area. I hope we will be back soon.
