Do not go here. We got to the hotel and our room was full of ants. Including over the bedding. Told reception who said they would move us in the morning. Went back to reception the next morning and still nothing has been done. 

Our safe was broken and we had to call maintenance to get it fixed. 

The toilet at the poolside was disgusting. No soap and urine all over the toilet seat and not cleaned regularly. 

All the furniture is damaged and unlike the pictures displayed on the website there is no kettle,tea,coffee or anything available within the room. There was two glass cups provided for tap water which we didn’t drink instead we took reusable bottles to fill up. 

The Air conditioning is broken which is stated on the website but there are no alternatives such as fans or anything available and as I’m 26 weeks pregnant this has been a real struggle for me. 

The shower does have a drain but leaks everywhere in our room making all our towels wet. Again reported to reception. Nothing done. 

The buffet is pretty much the same every day. Food isn’t bad but as a fussy eater I’ve lived on chips for the last two days. 

The entertainment was rubbish with quiz and karaoke being the only entertainment most nights and Tuesday and Wednesday having no entertainment at all. Not to mention the entertainment staff at the pool side were playing songs with bad language and although it is an adults only hotel it was still inappropriate and not everyone wanted to listen to it. 

Only positive is that the staff in the restaurant were lovely and friendly. 

Really unhappy with our holiday.

Unhappy holiday

Stayed here for the first two weeks of July. Overall a nice hotel that with a few tweaks good a lovely hotel. 

Room :  our pool level room was clean and overall pretty good. Never had to ask for clean towels or bedding they were just done.  It was  kept clean and swept but somedays the bathroom wasn’t straightened up, towels where  we’d left them hanging etc.  We had an issue with the air con, spoke to the manager and she sorted it immediately. We had the air con 24/7 and the key was never removed by staff. 

Food:  on the whole good, some weird combos like Sunday carrots served for breakfast on Monday morning. The chef could certainly cook meat never has a tough, over cooked piece of meat, chicken or duck in the entire two weeks. Week two was a repeat of week one however and there are no other restaurants on site. Breakfast anything from full English to fresh fruit, pastries (mini croissants were delicious)  to continental meats and cheeses. 

Poolside: plenty of bed and no stupid o’clock up to secure one. There were always beds available. All three pools are cold and I mean dead cold it was some of the best entertainment, watching people trying to get in to them. 

Entertainment:  limited day and night. Bingo and karaoke where the main stays. But the young entertainment man (yes only one) worked his socks off and was a lovely guy. 

Staff:  most of them were friendly and happy to help. One bar man in particular was miserable and a bit surly. The reception staff were brilliant Manuel was the star and the manager super helpful, frequently seen working behind reception as well as in and  around the hotel at night. She will go along way. The youngest of the  team Jose was great and a blossoming asset to the team he has a great career ahead of him. 

What could make all the difference: wash the pool deck every evening, not just spot mopping, clean the poolside tables and provide more of them. Stick, dirty  tables make it look shabby. Clean the glass divide between two of the pools, dirty glass makes it look shabby. Clean the glass around the balcony of the terrace bar. Empty the small bins in the corridors frequently and brush the debris from the trees up on a regular basis, maybe twice a day.  

None of these issues spot the holiday but would change the overall feel of the hotel and make into a really good hotel. Little changes would make a huge difference.

Just missing the mark

Ignore the bad reviews, the hotel is very nice, the staff is attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and varied. To the ocean to walk exactly 20 minutes with a quiet walk. Rooms are neat, cleaning every day. We are very satisfied with our vacation in this hotel, although the reviews about it were alarming. I recommend it to everyone!

Do not be put off by the negative reviews, this hotel and the facilities are great. 

Location
The area is quiet and up a slight hill however the shops and bars are easily walkable in around 25
Minutes. Taxis are €7 if walking is not for you. The little town has plenty of restaurants and a few bars. Rapa Nui SurfBar is great for cocktails and drinks and Bar El Marko is fab for Tapas. The beach near to the hotel is a bit rocky but if you walk along to the right, it’s lovely and there’s a beach bar. The shops are ok, nothing special. There’s a couple of large Spa shops and plenty of ‘holiday tat’ shops. 

Pool
Do not set an alarm for sunbeds, they’re plentiful all day long. We were a family of 6 and never struggled to get beds together at all. The pools are cold but lovely. The music is not loud if you sit by the top pool and you’re more covered from the wind….it is windy! The pool bar is great and I never waited more than two people in front of me for a drink. 

Food and drink
Pool bar is great and the staff are lovely. Ruth makes a drink that is to die for…ask for a Ruth special. 
Main bar is also great and Sallami is a lovely, happy chap who makes another great ‘off menu’ special cocktail. All staff are lovely if you smile and converse with them. Drinks are not watered down as some have suggested. 
Snack bar is just that, hotdogs, burgers, fries, salad, pastries and Ice-cream - it’s not a Michelin star snack bar, it’s an all inclusive one and serves its purpose. 
Restaurant - again, this is an all inclusive three star. The food is basic but completely fine. We ate out three times in 10 nights but when at the restaurant, all found food that was fine and never cold. The plates could do with warming for the hot options but it’s not a deal breaker. Breakfast is fab  (toaster tip…. Put your bread through three times!!) 

Entertainment 
Alejandro is on his own and does a great job of the daytime entertainment which consists of the usual activities…. Volley ball, darts, stjollen, ping pong etc.. 
the evening entertainment is basic and upstairs in another bar. We did a few quizzes and listened to some of the music acts. The main bar is fine and there’s usually people playing cards and chatting. 

Hotel
We were in rooms 105-107 and these were straight onto the pool area. Rooms are clean and fairly modern. The air con is terrible! We slept with the windows open (there are no mosquitoes as it’s too windy). You get a fridge but no kettle of iron so I’d take your own as we did. Hairdryer was rubbish too so again, take your own if you need.

Spa 
We got a free pass with Jet 2 and we did use it. The facilities are great to pass a few hours. Didn’t have any treatments but they look to be reasonably priced. 

All in all, we had a great break away with our older teenage children. There are some single people here (it’s advertised as a solo hotel) but there was no signs of swingers at all. Would I return, probably not…the Canaries have never stolen my heart and I’ve now ticked the box of  Fuerteventura.

Great hotel in a quiet location

Loads of people were complaining about this place but I was honestly very pleasantly surprised for a 3 star hotel. 

I don’t know if everyone was expecting 5 star service but I personally really liked the place. 
- rooms were modern and clean (shower did run onto the bathroom floor due to the design but the front desk gave more towels to lay day) 
-the pools were clean and the area around them, pool bar area clean and staff attentive 
- snack bar all day food with burgers ect. Basic food but if you just want a snack no issues 
- food in the restaurant was hit and miss some days it was fantastic (I had an amazing piece of salmon one night) and some days it was ok, sometimes a little cold but it’s say 8/10 times it was good. 
- nice selection of drinks at the bar 
- hotel staff friendly 

If I were to come back to would stay here. 
The gym and spa were closed for unknown reasons. 

Towel service for the pool was easy.

Clean and easy stay

Really nice hotel, staff are lovely, couldn't fault it. The food was fine, I love fish and it was cooked on the grill every evening and it was so good. The room was fine, very spacious and very clean. I will be back next December.

Quality Hotel

Stayed here for Christmas...it was acceptable, the food was very bland, staff were pretty rude, our room was under the entertainment room (dreadful Karaoke every night). The indoor pool you need to pay 15 EURO to use, but it's very small. The outdoor pools are also very small. The hotel is no where near a beach. If you are over 60 and love staying around the pool all day, eating and drinking, this is your place.

Not for under 60s

The hotel was ok, and the staff was ok! Food Sorry but it needs better heating devices most heated food was lukewarm! chef cooking at the side for meats make sure it's cooked all the way through there were a few that came down with food poisoning my husband for one, Christmas day started with stomach pains in the afternoon then had to go back to our room as felt chills coming felt nauseous wasn't long before I was ringing a doctor he was lying on bathroom floor violently vomiting and diarrhea went on all night as for the hotel in this department done nothing no one came to check on him needless to say even reported it to reception to be told doctor would cost 100 euros or more and then 100 euros for treatment. I knew what it was and didn't need a doctor to tell me, the food was pork or chicken he had the night before as I dont eat meat I can go on but be careful that's all I'm saying. Our first holiday at Christmas was spoilt. All in all, the Hotel has a clean pool area that is checked a few times a day beds are comfy but could do it with an extra pillow we had a junior suite upgraded on arrival for 140 euros. more room. everything is good except the food I guess there are a lot of complaints but nothing was done about it even reported it to Jet-2 on boxing day then they got some people in with cameras to take pictures of the food did notice a bit more chefs going round the food checking but still cold. sorry folks but that's it. I won't be back at this hotel .. 

FOOD STAY CLEAR 

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are fresh and clean. Food is varied, which is great for gluten free options. All inclusive was a good option. Entertainment is on every night, if your interested. You have to rent a beach towel €10 and also plastic cup by the pool €1. The easyjet rep was very informative and helpful. Beds comfortable. The beds are single beds together.
Location is a bit away from other areas and on a hill if you have mobility issues. There are scooters directly outside, if adventurous.
We Loved that it was adults only. Although a select few could have been cut off the free booze  for their own safety. We had a lovely relaxing stay. The whole area even further on down the location does not have much in the way of restaurants or entertainment, so you in Amy of the hotels in this location rely heavily on their services. We would recommend booking some day trips, if your gig is not just sitting by a pool. 

Relaxing, clean and all inclusive was a good deal. 

Great staff, reception and cleaners all very lovely and friendly. Location was our biggest issue as closest bars/restaurants are a good 25-35 minute walk. Room was nice for price we paid, zero issues with cleanliness. Not out of this world but has and is what it says on the tin, pretty solid place. Would recommend going somewhere a bit closer to restaurants and bars if you’re not doing all inclusive though. I did get quite ill while we stayed and we were very far from nearest medical centre, that also may be a consideration. If you want a quiet getaway it’s a great option, location is a slight issue though.
