The best thing in this hostel is price and location. Center of Barcelona old town. Hostel itself is ok. The room is just a bed. Bathrooms are outside but it is not a big problem at least for me. Wifi was ok in the room and the owner was really nice lady so I can't complain. For this price you should not expect a miracle.

Great location, good price

Location was  great, nearby metro station, everything is walking distance.
Very noisy at night but it was not problem for me/
the check-in process was bad (If you just wanna leave your luggage at the hostel you can not do it till 2 pm and even can not come in).
Not good wifi, very old facilities. There is AC but you can not use it.

Great location and nothing more

The location is perfect - 2 minutes from Rambla, still on a very quiet lovely street. The building is old and beautiful. There's a terrace inside for smokers. The owner is incredibly nice and helpful.

Nice clean hostal in the heart of Barcelona

The location is really great and central. However (and I feel bad for saying that since the owner works hard to run the hotel), if you want some comfort and rest, you should stay elsewhere. We had the “biggest & nicest” room at this hostel with the private bathroom. Our shower hook was broken and to take a shower, you would have to hold the shower head the entire time. We complained to the owner and got the typical “Manana” response. Needless to say it was never fixed. Also, it wasn’t draining very well and would overflow if you didn’t pay attention and turn it off in time to let it drain. Lastly, the hostel has really old single pane windows and it gets REALLY loud in the room once the swarms of drunken tourists would pass by the windows (which would happen very often) or when the cleaning crews would wash the street at 5-6 a.m.

Great location, outdated/dilapidated hostel

This was an unexpected gem, being in a part of the city(Gothic/Arty) I preferred. It was close to all the attrations(as well as a few new ones), all in walking distance. The rooms were well kept, being simple, having shared toilet and shower facilities, well worth the price. The land lady/owner was very nice, although English was not here best language, I still got along. Wifi was available but I wouldn't relie on it if this is important to you(just too slow). You have enough local restaurantes for your immediate needs. My only negitive is that I am a light sleeper and it's location is also used by a lot of both locals and tourists, so noise levels could be high during the night life etc.
