except the waiter at dinner all people pretended to be friendly but you could notice that they actually have either no fun working there or they only work there to have some money but nothing more. The bosses  response (or maybe they were the owners) , to the question why they hadn't informed us beforehand that there was a building site right next to the hotel  which was very loud all day, was : they only just started the day before, we didnt know. you just want to slap them in the face for their boldness. Apart from that they did not even try to apologize or give us a free drink or lower the room rate, NOTHING, just a false smile and trying to charge even 10 Euros more that they had told us when we did the reservation over the phone for the second night. 
Decoration is supposed to be nice but you can see that it is very cheap quality. The TV is far too big for the tiny hotel rooms (one would expect a bit bigger for the price charged).

Very unfriendly staff & owners

Went there for some drinks (one of them being tap water) and paid almost 10 euros!!! For two drinks and tap water! It is too expensive for what it actually serves. View is nice though, but definately not worth it.

The spectation was very high before going, but they were overtaken. Incredible location, good service and great food. We asked for tapas to compete. Awesome Andalusian squid with cheese! I recommend asking the black rice to the can.

Excelent

We stayed there for two nights recently and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were very well cared for. 

The ownership changed about a year ago to a very well known, established hospitality family in the area and it's clear that they are working hard to change the reputation and succeeding!

Many reviews talk about expensive but disappointing food. The food is not cheap but you get what you pay for, including an incredible setting which people should understand has to cone with a premium. Everything we ordered was exquisitely prepared and I especially recommend the calamari and pulpo! My mother aptly described the first round of tapas as a kaleidoscope of flavors. 

The rooms were also excellent, clean with robes, bath products and excellent bedding.

In the end, I believe that people make more of an impact on an experience than most other things and I can sincerely say that one of the highlight of our stay was the charming and effective maître d' who was very attentive and a very fine sommelier.

Exceeded Expectations

Honestly, the food was okay. Until the bill came. We ordered the fish of the day, which was tasty. But it costed us €40 a plate. In Spain, this is more than the double of what it’s worth. In total, with a bottle of (bad) cava, for a very regular meal we paid €60 per person. In Spain. Don’t go here. It’s a rip off.

Totally NOT worth it

Ouch!!!!!stopped in this Hostel in SaTuna for a breakfast.....ordered 2coffee’s and 2Croque Monsier.....toasted sandwich of plain white cut bread ,processed cheese and ham.....it was brought to us so we ate it took us all of 2 minuets only to be told that for 3.50euros you only got half a sandwich......so all in all out two toasted sandwiches cost 7 euros per sandwich....so 21 euros for the lot.....what a rip off should have said on the menu it was only half for 3.50euros each........ so be warned and ask before you order....was not impressed ......

Exspensive

The food is average, very wannabes, but average quality. The service is very good except for the Maitre that looks everytime as if he has had a bad day and forgot his smile at home. Waiters and waitresses superb. Mussels cold and empty (4th time there everytime the same) cooked beforehand a sauce placed on top on the last minute, fried fish which is excellent in the region managed to be dry and stiff, calamars a la plancha at 14,50 (3 uns,) a joke and generally all wants to play posh and ends up being mediocre. Best option Es Furio which plays what it is basic, friendly and cheaper and enjoys the same view. The fact is that Es Furió is full and in SaTuna there is always space....wines expensive too. All would be good if they were friendly and consistent price/quality. When people are spending 50€/head there is space for invitation to a limoncello....specially when clients have come several times....not going again though.

My husband and I stayed for four nights at the Sa Tuna Hotel and we were very disappointed. When we arrived, the bathroom was filthy, the safe didn't work and the balcony door didn't lock. Staff were rude and unhelpful and the food in the restaurant was average and hugely overpriced. It was an expensive hotel (180 euro per night) so we were surprised at such poor service, accommodation and lack of attention to detail. If you're planning a trip to sa tuna I would recommend staying in one of the neighbouring coves or begur itself which has a much better variety and standard of accommodation. It's such a shame because Sa Tuna itself is beautiful and we very much enjoyed the beach and walks. 

Very disappointing

Having found it difficult to park at Sa Tuna, we walked over from Aiguafreda, about a kilometer away (and a nice walk).  It's a great spot.  The views were nice and the staff were very charming.  We had a couple of beers at about mid-day.  The place has been going since 1944, and the atmosphere is lovely.
