We stayed in hotel Almeji as part of a cycle tour.
We booked the night before and the hotel were very welcoming. They could not do enough and nothing was too much effort.
They opened the restaurant to provide us an evening meal and Aldo provided a great breakfast.
The building itself is very interesting with the old olive press and other equipment in the hotel.
The rooms have a great view over the valley.
Would recommend as a must if staying in the area.

Great hotel, very welcoming, great views

I work in management in the hotel trade and I always notice the attention to detail in hotels. From the second we walked through their door, the owners hospitality and service were outstandning. We arrived right in the middle of the Corona epidemic and they could not do enough for us, especially arrangning a  breakfast table by the fire. If you want to experience the spanish way of life, definitely visit this village and enjoy the amazing views, walk route 30 Benadalid - Benalauria and just jump back in time. Definitely a hotel to be supported and visited  during and after the difficult Corona virus time.

100% Spanish hospitality ! Home from home !

In the beautiful mountain city of Benadalid, I had the absolute pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel.
The hotel, despite it's large size and small staff, was almost spotless clean. The rooms were large, clean and airy. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries. 
The dinner served in the hotel was freshly prepared and delicious. The thing that did catch my attention in the restaurant was that even when only 3 of the many tables were occupied, all the other tables were also neatly presented.
But the highlight of the hotel has to be the lovely crackling fire in the fireplace in the common area.
All in all it was a wonderful stay and would love to visit again.

A little aclove of comfort and luxury

We had three nights here and enjoyed every minute. This is a very quiet, peaceful place in a beautiful village with amazing views. The building is spacious and wonderful - very cool in temperatures approaching 40 degrees - and full of character. They were not serving dinner during our stay but there is a lovely tapas bar in the village square, so we were perfectly happy with that. If you're looking for peace and quiet, genuine Andalucian character, a warm welcome and generous breakfast in a hotel that is well run, then you won't be disappointed.

Very restful hotel

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and had a delightful time. Narrow streets led us down to the edge of the village to the converted mill. Opened the door and was very pleased with the character of the whole building, very tasteful and very traditional. Some of the original olive pressing devices are still in place in the huge lounge along with a cosy open fire. We had a warm welcome and great service throughout. The views are phenomenal and the walks very enticing. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Main tip - ask about where best to park when booking.

Once found, a real gem

This is a small hotel with 14 rooms, in a converted olive oil factory. The olive press and equipment is a feature of the lounge. WiFi is free to every room.
The hotel will arrange activities such as mountain biking, paint ball, hiking,horse riding, etc.
The rooms are clean, and basic (only soap and towels are provided)
The restaurant is pleasant and serves local simple fare.
The town of Benadalid is typical of the "white villages" in the region with very narrow streets, which can barely take a car. The coach we arrived in had to park at the main road, and the hotel owner transfer es luggage into a trailer to carry it down to the hotel (about half a kilometre walk through the town down very steep streets)
