An authentic palace set in a spectacular setting, accompanied by Alicia and Antonio, some great hosts.The tranquility of the setting and the comfort of the facilities invite meditation and reading, and, accompanied by Antonio's good work and Alicia's kitchen, waiting for everything to be to the guest's taste, make the stay a fantastic experience to repeat without a doubt.

A place to get lost.

The hosts Antonio and Alicia are incredibly generous, as is shown in the amazing breakfast, the warm welcome and the time dedicated by Antonio to showing one around this wonderful old palace, which he has lovingly restored over a number of years. There is a charm that only older buildings from a more sedate era can communicate. There are relaxing salons, a billiard room, deckchairs in the shade of trees gently undulating in the breeze, the rustle of whose leaves being the only sound as you look up from your book to a beautiful view over the distant hills.
As you can see, I rather enjoyed this place!

A step back in time

Finally got to go back here after a stay in 2019. Still just as peaceful and comfortable as it was then. Antonio & Alicia run a very welcoming hotel and are only too happy to share their extensive knowledge of areas to visit, both locally and throughout Spain. This trip we followed a route they had outlined for us previously and were delighted with it.

Return to the Palacio

The mountain setting is superb and the hosts fantastically obliging.  Antonio is interesting, funny and speaks excellent English from his days in London & Oxford.  Alicia is a really good cook and although does not speak English, is very jolly and welcoming.

The Palacio (and Chapel) have been lovingly restored and the quality of furnishings, linen and bathroom design are of very high quality.

There are gorgeous views over the valleys and mountains.  The only sounds you will hear are the occasional tinkle of a cow/pony bell or eeaw of a donkey: Walked in the nearby mountains and did not see a human or hear a human noise.

Did not want to leave and will definitely go back (despite our policy of not doing so) for a longer stay.

Probably the most relaxing establishment we have ever stayed

I hadn't been back for many years because of different circumstances and coming back was a wonderful experience - for the accommodation, for the valley in which it is located and, above all, for Alicia and Antonio. They are fantastic hosts and make the days spent in their palace and in their company unbeatable.

An authentic pleasure.

Antonio and Alicia are a delightful group of people. absolute silence in the rooms that are wonderful. unforgettable experience and highly recommended for a weekend or to spend a week of absolute tranquility relaxing and introspective. breakfast at 10 and dinner at 10.

I can only thank Antonio and Alicia for how they show hospitality, attention, care, affection, detail, hospitality... Absolutely nothing more can be asked for!! It's a beautiful environment and invites you to relax and meditate, talk and think or simply contemplate the wonderful landscape Between the tilos, the abeduls, the casán casero... in this magnificent Asturian house.

When I say that we've had more of a sense of being invited to a friend's house than in a hotel I think I'm saying it all I have no words to thank the A&A for welcoming us into their home, providing us with great food, mimicking us during our stay and advising us wisely about our activities: the conversation of the host, the beauty of the building, the spectacular surroundings, the kitchen. Everything. A real luxury. A real pleasure. Thank you again.

Exceptional and warm!

First of all, the Palacio de Prelo is an extremely well-maintained master/small mansion (there is even a beautiful chapel inside the hotel). Furthermore, its location in the heart of the Navia valley gives you absolutely fantastic views: nature walk lovers will be delighted. But most interesting is the extremely welcoming reception of Alicia and Antonio who are very complementary: Alicia prepares you for breakfast and king dinners while Antonio (besides serving you at the table) always has the right word (for the big ones as well as for the little ones).
