The house is in a lovely setting with beautiful gardens arranged around a swimming pool. The room we had was very clean, towels and sheets were changed every few days and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts, Mareia and Toni are very keen for your stay to be perfect - and it was. They can recommend places to visit and local markets, beaches and even where to park in Girona! The breakfasts are fresh, often with home made/grown produce and varied each day. Drinks were available too during the day and early evening, which was a nice touch and most welcome.  We ate here twice in the evening and the food was amazing with local Catalan dishes and wine. Highly recommended

Great country property

During the Sant Joan (Summer Solstice) weekend we made our third visit to Mas Martís in a year (this review is long overdue). Mireia and Toni have a great eye for detail whether it be the decoration of the rooms ( each one of which is beautifully styled) or the wonderfully prepared traditional catalan breakfasts and creative dinners. We definitely recommend dining at the house as in good weather you can dine on the delightful terrace. In our latest visit we were able to take a much needed refreshing dip in the swimming pool. Our dogs greatly enjoy having the run of the extensive garden ( fenced and secure) which surrounds the house. The house dogs, Tristany and Menta are well socialised, accepting and easy going dogs who welcome the company of visitors. It's always a joy to visit this very attractive area of Catalonia which has a wealth of places to see and visit (Banyoles Lake, Besalù, Santa Pau, Olot, the volcanos of La Garrotxa and river gorges). The house is located is within an hour and a half from Barcelona, 30 minutes from Girona and is an hour and a half from the Costa Brava. We took my parents in April, Mireia and Toni made every effort to deal with a coeliac and lactose-free diet. It is truly a place to relax and enjoy.

Stylish catalan farmhouse, friendly hospitality and delicious home cooked food


What a wonderful place! My wife and I, together with our Labrador, spent a night here en route to Southern Spain. How we wish we had been there longer! An incredibly peaceful and relaxing period property, off the beaten track with delightfully quirky rooms set in its own grounds. 

Mireia and Toni are wonderful hosts who can't do enough to make your stay perfect, preparing a really wonderful, regional meal for us in the evening, with great local wine. It's really like staying with friends. Even our Labrador had a wonderful time, happily playing Mireia and Toni's lovely dogs in the sunshine.

Breakfast was a delicious local Catalan experience - complete with instructions on how to eat it - and set us up for the day.

We will certainly return got a longer stay. Highly recommended.

Delightful!

we stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. This casa rural has only a few rooms, so you can feel at home there. The inside and outside lounge, the pool area, the friendly dogs. Moreover Toni and Mireia will if you choose so cook food for you, with very much love and attention, using local ingredients of the season. Just fab!

A rural home with perfect peace and quiet, nature around and sites nearby

We stayed for 12 nights and got the chance to experience 4 of the guest rooms (Poppies, Vaults, Boca Gran and the Plums). We really wanted to stay in the Poppies so Mireille kindly advised we could move after 3 nights when it was not booked. 
We had a beautiful stay from beginning to end. The setting is so pretty and peaceful in a great location within easy reach of all the best parts of the Girona region. Mireille and Toni really did everything they could to make our stay perfect - the homecooked meals were delicious and great value - the breakfast included cold meats, cheese, homemade bread, the whole works. 

The rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy with a great level of privacy and lots of space. Our two dogs loved running around the gardens which were so spacious and the swimming pool was lovely, as was the outside area where we played cards and had drinks most nights. The hosts really went above and beyond to make us comfortable - making me organic chamomile tea when I had a bad stomach and giving us all sorts of tips about how best to enjoy the area.

I would recommend Mas Martis to couples looking for romantic trips away from it all but we also had a great time as a family, enjoying the chilled out atmosphere and getting away from it all.
