I stayed there with my boyfriend as part of a trip through Andalucia, and we both felt like we're in heaven. We originally planed to stay there for three nights, but finally extended our stay for another night. 
The location, the host, the room and design of the place - everything was charming. The breakfast was very generous and really good.
Can't wait to go back there, and I definitely recommend it.

A perfect place on earth!

Stayed for just one night to visit friends in Aguas Amarga.  I loved it and will return soon.  agreed with all the other posts about great breakfast, service and pool etc. Only complaint was an over amorous couple in the bedroom next door which made it dificult for my wife to sleep.  I did not notice myself.  Aparently the bedhead was banging agaiinst the wall. Tip for Rosa; maybe some felt to insulate the beddheads from the walls. Ok enough said about that. I loved the place and am looking forward to returning some day.

Enjoyable Stay

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights here in early May as part of a trip around Andalucia. Casa Rural is such a stunning property and so is the location. Our room looked out to Agua Amarga town and had a huge terrace with sun loungers. The breakfast was amazing every day and Rosa was so welcoming & helpful from the moment we arrived. We had to check out & leave early on our final day and Rosa put on breakfast at an earlier time for us so that we didn't miss out. You can also help yourself to hot drinks & water whenever you want as well as storing whatever you need to in the fridge or freezer in the property's kitchen. Agua Amarga town is a 2 minute drive away and full of lovely little bars and restaurants. There are loads of coastal and inland walks to do right from your doorstep or just a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

Away from it all

Free covered parking.
Owner urged us to stay for the included breakfast but we wanted to leave earlier.
She changed the breakfast time to 8 instead of 9 for us.
Let us use the big industrial fridges in the kitchen for food and drinks we had.
3 km from town and far enough off the highway there isn't any noise.
Beautiful establishment with big couches in the lobby.
Would not hesitate to give it my 100% recommendation.
Scenic mountain behind the property.
Owner speaks credible English.
The sign on the highway is very small, watch carefully for it.  I recognized the hotel from photos before I saw the sign.

Nicest place I stayed in Spain.

We have visited Agua Amarga earlier, but this was our first stay in Casa Rural Cerro La Gorra. The rooms are wonderful and the people are very helpful, We enjoyed breakfast and loved to sit on our terrace and enjoy the view on the hills of Cabo de Gata.
