Great location, close to restaurants , bars , cathedral and  the historical centre.
La Caleta beach is within walking distance. Many more beautiful beaches are s short drive away .
Eva the receptionist is amazing , so helpful and friendly! She mDe our stay very special .

Great gem in old town Cadiz

We stayed here for 2 nights in week before Semana Santa and I can recommend it as a very comfortable, clean and central hostal. We had an en suite room on first floor which while small, had everything you need and was quiet at night. Eva who runs it with her husband was very helpful and responded quickly to any queries. A good, inexpensive and central choice in Cadiz.

Central, clean and good value.

Perfect location, in the center and close to the train station. The small but cozy room. Very well the cleanliness and air conditioning worked perfectly. There is no elevator. On the rooftop there are restrooms and, if there is no one, you can use them to dry the towels from the beach. On the beaches you can walk or better by bus from a nearby stop. Recommended 100%.

Centric and cozy.

I was lucky enough to meet Cádiz for the first time and book in the hostel Colón, with a perfect location, extraordinary cleanliness, the following, the most interesting and clean I have ever met and to finish the adorable staff, friendly and wonderful some great professionals, always on the lookout for customers, thank you very much to Eva and family for all the hassle that took to make our stay a memorable one, I am sure that if I return to Cádiz I know that Pilar la Thai will return to your home.

Cádiz in the best accommodation.

The hotel is very clean and the reception is good. The room is small, the bathroom is outdoors and not heated, which can be a problem when it's cold. There's nothing to put your toiletries in. The price should be a little lowered.

Very nice location and excellent reception

This is a small, family run place in a great location for a reasonable price. The daughter Eva has very good english (the parents not so much, but all were very nice and helpful). Eva gave us a map, and marked places of interest. Our room was a bit small with 2 beds. The en-suite bathroom was very nice. I believe some rooms may not be en-suite.The air conditioning worked fine and the room was fairly quiet. The place was spotlessly clean. There restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk. The hostal is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus/train station. When we mentioned we were morning tea drinkers, Eva put out a kettle and tea bags. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Overall Very Nice

This is the second time we've stayed in this simple guesthouse and we're especially grateful to the staff that carries it. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Very clean. Close to the hustle but quiet at night. Completely recommended.

Excellent location and attention.

It's a place to sleep and rest and the rest of the day you can visit the city or go to the beach. The room cleaning service is great and impeccable.

This is the second year we've repeated it.

If you go to Cádiz for a few days or weeks, the best place to stay is undoubtedly the Hostal Colón, not only because of its magnificent location in the center (along with the town hall and two minutes from the cathedral), but because it is a family business and as such it makes you feel, like at home, daily cleaning (mi Aurora) the attention of the best concierge (Manolo) and the hosts (Inés y Eva) ahh y el becario (mi rubio).

The best of all Cadiz.

On our last visit to Cádiz we stayed in this cozy and simple hostel.It is very well located very close to the city center and in a quiet street.The hostel also has a terrace at the top of the building from which you can contemplate the beautiful skyline of the beautiful and cozy city of Cádiz.Completely recommended.
