A very cosy place near a river. Though I was alone, the women made me feel at home. The atmosphere is nice and warm. I enjoyed a beautiful fish with a delicious dessert! The bed is good and the sound of the river made it romantic. 

I liked it! 

This hotel is situated south of Cangas right next to a small river, our room actually stood next to the river.  It is also a restaurant.  We didn't eat there only because we couldn't interpret the menu (our problem) and didn't want to pay out for something we didn't like.  I think for foodies it would have been a great place to eat.

I find it very difficult to review this accommodation for two reasons, 1) we don't speak Spanish and the owners don't speak English and 2) I think we were the only guests there.  I feel our stay of two nights was very much affected by both these circumstances.  You are asked to provide your time of arrival, which I found a bit of a nuisance as were were travelling around, anyway we arrived at our stated time and got a very brief basic welcome which put us off rather.

We were given a smallish twin room with small shower room.  Beds were clean if rather hard.  We like a separation between the two beds but the layout made this almost impossible.  The room was basic and characterless.  The bathroom had an adequate shower but areas needed cleaning including the washbasin.  Our main problem was the room was cold, even hubby who rarely feels the cold felt chilly.  Extra blankets were provided but to us duvet lovers it made the beds feel very heavy.  I felt we couldn't ask for central heating to be put on just for the two of us.

The breakfast was the best we had all holiday, fresh orange juice, home made bread with preserves and I think home or locally made butter, and a most delicious orange cake.  We were asked what time we wanted breakfast I guess as there was only the two of us.  The owner had classical music playing which I loved.  We were being watched from outside by their dog who we were introduced to and is very friendly.

Wi-fi was fine when whilst we were there.

I really think this would be a super stay during warmer months and our problems with the welcome were mainly due to the language difficulty as I believe the owners to be really friendly.
