The location and home is magical. The views are breathtaking. Such a very special place. The owners welcome you in as if it is your own home. Attention to every detail to make your stay special and comfortable. The breakfasts are unique and delicious. The family that own and run this gem are the most amazing hosts! I was traveling alone and they made me feel so welcomed and helped me map out my excursions and delicious places to eat. If you are traveling to this region a stay here is a must. You won’t find a nicer location for a trip to the Cangas de Onis.

Beautiful,  Idyllic, and Best Hosts

Wonderful traditional Asturian guest house with the most stunning views over the Picos mountains. 
Jaime is the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. 
Meals were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious with the best homemade cakes and jams made from his family recipes. 
I recommend that if you are visiting the Picos then do not hesitate to stay with Jaime - it was absolutely perfect.

Stunning guest house overlooking the Picos mountains

This is all about the host Jaime who makes you welcome from first contact until you leave.  The house is in an idyllic situation.  Our room had stunning views across the valley towards Covadonga and the Picos de Europa.  The bed was very comfortable, the shower fantastic and as a bonus the room we booked had a small sitting room.  The house has been sympathetically renovated  with many character features.  There is lovely sun terrace and garden.
Breakfast was different every day and Jaime featured local products for us to sample. Dinner at night was delicious home cooking a real treat.
Jaime gives excellent advice for walking, hiking or sightseeing and has everything you need to plan your day.
I have only one regret we stayed only 3 nights and would have been happy to stay forever.

Our best accommodation after 6 weeks travelling in Spain

A beautiful house on the hill with mountain views. Very friendly host who couldn't be more accommodating. Great breakfast in the morning with as much tea as you wanted! On our last morning we even discovered that he was actually getting married that day! Close to Cangas de Onis & Covadonga. The weather wasn't kind to us while we there but it didn't effect our enjoyment.

Picos trip

We heard about it from a friend, and were very excited to visit. Haime is one of a kind person who knows the art  of hosting from A to Z. The house, food, atmosphere, assistance etc were absolutely amaizing. Thank you Haime for this great experience, we miss you already :) 

The best stay ever!!! 

What a superb place to stay. We used it as a base for some long walks in the Picos with a trip to the beach on a rest day.
The accommodation is in a great location, is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food at breakfast and in the evening is also to be recommended.
All of this topped off by the best hospitality possible from Jaime. Our flight into Bilbao was delayed and calling ahead to advise that we would be so late we would look to stay elsewhere Jaime told us that 2 a.m. arrival was no problem and that we should not rush our drive and we should stay safe! His advice on walks, places to park and times to beat the road closure at Covadonga were also excellent.

Fantastic place with a first class host

This was our second visit to this beautiful country house. What a great view to see every morning, this year helped by clear bright weather.  The breakfasts and evening meals were delicious, but the best thing about this house is The hospitality and help we received from Jaime.

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful guesthouse & I concur with previous reviewers comments: the views onto the Picos are stunning, Jaime is an excellent host and the food was delicious. The room at the top of the house proved to be perfect for a family of 4, with spectacular views from the Windows an added bonus. The house is interestingly decorated with rural antiques which help to create a cosy and stimulating atmosphere. The rooms and communal areas are kept spotlessly clean. Jaime was very helpful in planning our days; a trip in the cable car to the top of the mountain at Fuentes De and hiking around the lakes at Covadonga being the most memorable. I have no hesitation in recommending this family-run casa rurales.
