We stopped at this hotel on our way to Andorra and it was a find.

The rooms are magnificent and if we had time we would have stayed an extra night. The chef in the restaurant looked as if if he had a a three rosette establishment. The preparation was superb and the food historic. His soup de langoustine with rice is a must have. 

Great hotel with a a star Restaurant 

We had a GREAT time here. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious and very clean. 
Very family friendly. Plenty to do near by and the food was great. 
There are even activities for Children at the weekends that are food related.

GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILIES!

This hotel is a gem hidden away from San Fruitos de Bages, 15 minutes from Manresa and less than an hour from Barcelona, near the 11th century Mon Sant Benet monastery. Although large, the hotel offers a quiet retreat and rooms remote from reception area will feel almost isolated (also, doors are thick, heavy, and have double sound insulation seals). Our room was the last on the second floor on the left wing (from reception) and it was extremely spacious (about 15 x 30 ft). The multi-space bathroom, with double access from the entry vestibule and the bed side of the room, had a podium-surrounded bathtub, two vanity sinks, and isolated shower and toilet+bidet spaces. The entire length of the room was doubled by a spacious balcony, with electric exterior blinds (on the face of the building) controlled from the bedside. The hotel's restaurant (named l'O) offered a diverse breakfast in a large space, facing the inner court of the hotel. The night view and quietness added more pleasure to this generous retreat.

Perfect place to explore the Eastern Catalonia

I'll start with a tip - use a GPS to find it! This modern full facility hotel is tucked away in the grounds of an ex-monastery, and is clean and well run. We chose an expanded suite room which was huge, as was the bathroom. Facilities in the hotel are everything you need, and service top notch. Two on site restaurants are stunning, and hotel can arrange tours of monastery as well. Ample on site parking. They do speak English too.
A truly fantastic stay for a couple of days.

Simply stunning hotel venue

Loved my stay at this 4 stars modern architecture hotel. A bit of an oasis, surrounded by nature, the rooms are excellent, and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast could be better and shower water pressure/temperature could also be better.

Wonderful hotel in a very peaceful area

We had travelled from Barcelona and needed a peaceful hotel where our car could be parked safely. We are so pleased we stayed here for the night and could have stayed longer. Everything was perfect. All the staff were lovely and smiley which after staying in some Paradores is a bit of a shock! The layout of the hotel is quirky but you soon get used to it. Our room was spotless, the bed comfortable and we had a fantastic night’s sleep. The chef knows what he is doing the set evening meal was beautifully presented and delicious using high quality ingredients. despite previous criticisms breakfast might not be the best we have ever had but was fine. It was lovely to see the pool was still open and immaculately kept.

Excellent stay

We arrived here after completing the Camino Ignaciano.  We mainly chose this hotel because they agreed to store our rental e-bikes until the rental company shipper could pick them up.  The hotel is in beautiful grounds and the room was spacious and modern.  The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast.  Overall though we paid way more for food and stay here than we did anywhere else besides the hotel room in the heart of Barcelona.  

Trying to be on the luxury end without quite being there.

had a really nice stay, rooms are spacious and clean, had a maid visit every day to tidy up - we stayed half board but i heard the food was on the pricey side, as are the drinks. hotel were pretty strict about drinking by the pool, which is strange as they offered a pool/drinks service. had a really nice time though - only downside is its pretty far from a supermarket. a good 20 minute walk.

Stayed here for a wedding in august. rooms are gorgeous

This is a modern building in the beautiful setting of an old monastery . The hotel is fab in almost every way but needs a few tweaks to give it top marks. The staffing at the bar were so few and so slow that there were soon long queues as the hotel was full and took at least half an hour to get a drink. At the pool it indicates there was pool service but you had to go to bar for a drink which was quite a trek. 
The rooms were beautifully designed with quirky features but could have done with a few more extras such as more hangers, tissues, hair conditioner and shower cap. I know this sounds petty but just makes life a little easier. Also due to long queues at bar, a coffee/tea making machine in the room would be good . 
Apart from this, the place was excellent and would definitely recommend and go back.

A great find in unusual setting

The experience which sticks most in our memories is nearly losing our passports; they fell out of a pocket, while we were leaving. Luckily the lady who checked us out spotted this and brought these to our car. That stands for all our contacts with Hotel Mon's staff; alert, helpful,  efficient and friendly. Also fluent English speakers. The gin and tonics we enjoyed in the superbly designed lounge overlooking the monastery are the next most memorable items: never have we seen such large/heavy goblets, containing about twice the normal contents. Only one of those necessary before dinner. Both dinner and breakfast were very good: for breakfast, full marks for frying eggs to order, and providing freshly squeezed orange juice and Cava. The standards are very high in this hotel,  as shown by the care and attention, and training of the staff. Just a couple of niggles; the restaurant was not open at lunchtime,  and we couldn't get a twin room with an easy to access shower; we were offered such a room,  but it was fully equipped for mobility impaired guests, which we didn't need/want. The shower in the bath was what we got instead. In praise of the room, it was modern, spacious and comfortable: plenty of wardrobe space.
