The house is very beautiful and atmospheric. It is very near to the beautiful square, but also very quiet situated in nature next to a little river. The sound of the water makes you  feel relaxed. You can walk in the mountains from the house easily. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They make you feel at home. The breakfast  is very good and the coffee excellent! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Cazorla. You won't regret it!

This accomodation is a top choice in Cazorla and excellent value for money!

A charming hotel, close to town and the Castle, very good service by the friendly owners, communal breakfast in the courtyard garden. Lovely garden to explore and the outdoor pool is on a raised upper garden terrace offering great mountain views. Very clean. Lots of local attraction to visit, underground water tunnel, art rooms, church, tours only €2 per person is a must. Lovely local mountain path walks, and if your a 'Twitcher' bring your zoom camera and be in place at sunrise and sunset up the mountain path - breath taking!

Notes: Access is via a steep stone path, which is not wheelchair friendly, parking is 100Mtr away in the public car park. Mobility may be an issue for some visitors.

Old Mill House

Apart from the very beautiful setting and the house itself I would consider other options before going here. We had a weekend with friends planned for Puente de Andalucia and the weather was not great (cold, rain and then snow) and heating during the day is not part of the room rate. Saturday afternoon after walks we returned to a cold hotel and wanted to get warm again, but only the fireplace was on. Asking to get more firewood I got 4 sticks. Soon after we needed more and and with a huff got two more sticks. That is when we understood that the heating was off and that this was on purpose as this happened the day after again. 
After agreement with the proprietor (Manolo) we were allowed to use the dining room for dinner. Saturday we sat down (just my wife and I) with some tapas and wine and when asking wife/daughter for a knife to cut the cheese I got a very negative response (huff puff again) that the kitchen service is not included. Well, then if it's a bother don't worry about the knife..
Next day afternoon we called asking to have the heating turned on. Manolo was at lunch with friends so not able to attend the cold house guests. This day our friends had been having lunch in the living room (by the fireplace) and apparently taking up too much space and with our request to have the heating put on all hell broke loose and Manolo tried justifying his treatment of us. We were taking up too much space in the living room. And we were too noisy and that there were complaints from other guests. (2-3 other rooms). Now, the solution in his opinion was for us to go to the room with no heating or comfortable chairs and leave the living room with the only source of heating to the other guests. Breakfast is good but that so just about all positive I can say about our experience during our stay. One family has left tonight while we will stay one last night due to the snow. That anyone should have more right to a chair than others is out of the question but that I should give up my chair for another guest defies my sense of logic. Maybe I will add more at another stage but I am not coming back and will recommend all I speak to to stay away

No heating during day and questionable level of service

We found Casa Molino La Farraga on the road, travelling from Tavira in Portugal to Barcelona. Comming from the hot sunny touristic beach and going to the vibrant crowdy city, Casa Molino La Farraga was a most pleasant and perfect pit stop. 
An oasis in the mountains with a relaxed and cosy feeling, a beautiful garden with small natural waterfalls and a perfect swimmingpool, with an fantastic view to the surrounding mountains. And not the least, a beautiful house and rooms with welcomming host family taking care of you and serving you a homemade breakfast in the shaded patio. 
The city of Cazorla is certainly a place of interest and the mountains calls for spectacular hikes, that we regretfully did not have the time to do. BUT we will most certainly go back and visit Casa Molino La Farraga again.

On the road

Stayed here for 3 nights in May 2015. Room is nothing fancy, but is clean and holds all what you need. Wifi coverage in my room was poor, but that was not unexpected. Very good value for money. Hosts are friendly and helpful. For the wifi they helped me to facilite it in the central area, which worked very well. I did not challenge their knowledge of the English language as i like to practise my Spanish, so i cannot tell if they speak English or how good it is. breakfast is great! The hostal is just across a foot bridge over the river from  Camino Ángel (the road to castillo de la Tedra). You can park on the street there. As it is not directly on the street, it is a quiet location. It is a short steep walk up to the hostal. A short walk to the Plaza Sta. Maria area gives you plenty of choice for dinner locations On Plaza Sta. Maria is also the tourist information, which i did not find very impressive. I would advice to get some information before arrival. From other guests i understood that Manolo (the host) also can give you good information.
