There are many places to stay in this area but, if possible, staying around Plaza Santa Maria means that there are a selection of bars and restaurants surrounding this stunning square.

This 9 room B&B is just steps away from the square, converted from a collection of traditional townhouses around an inner courtyard. There is supposed to be a roof terrace and jacuzzi, but the gate was locked and the area did not look used.

We rented Room 2 - the only family room in the B&B which is located on the ground floor off the inner courtyard. There is a small sitting room (with beautiful view of the square), a corridor with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (which is accessed only through the main bedroom).

The beds are generally adequate (although could be improved and replaced) with thin pillows - although the friendly host quickly gave us another pillow for each bed, when we mentioned this. 

The breakfast was simple, but absolutely fine for us, as the children loved making their own toast and topping with tomato, cheese and ham. If left for too long, the coffee could stew in the thermos flask - maybe the host could replace this with a Nespresso machine for fresher coffee and less wastage?

All in all, a fab location, friendly host and good value.

Best location in the town of Cazorla!

We spent five nights here in July and loved it! Beautiful house, rooms and courtyard garden with water fountain and numerous teraces with stunning views over the old town and castle.For once somewhere that looked even better " in the flesh" than in the photos. Our room (No 7) on the top floor was huge, quiet with good aircon and an attractive bathroom. Simple but adequate breakfast included in the price which we found very reasonable. (I think we were given a special price for a 5 night stay). Charming owners who speak virtually no english, but we managed to converse nevertheless!
Cazorla is delightful and the Plaza de St Maria is in the heart of the old town. Descending from the B&B, turn left to the first bar serving tapas. By far the best bar in town, popular with locals and serving delicious tapas at 1€ each!
Half an hours drive into the mountains and we were enjoying swimming in the river. All in all, a great place to spend a few days. Finally parking - we always found a space up the hill beyond the ruined church.

Fantastic!

Do not be put off by the drive through winding streets to this welcoming hotel as it is at the far end of the town but on a relatively quiet square. Even though we arrived mid-morning Ines welcomed us and showed us to our room. There were plenty of stairs to climb but what a view from the room looking out over the castle and mountains!We paid a little extra for a 'habitacion especial' but it was well worth it as it was large and airy if a little sparsely furnished. The breakfast was simple but adequate and Ines was on hand to make coffee give helpful advice. Alfredo was the star of the show and a mine of information about the area: without his advice we would have missed several interesting sights in the area and he planned our day's excursion into the mountains with great precision. 
Parking is not as difficult as it seems as there is a small free car park nearby and a much larger one a few hundred metres away.
A well situated, welcoming hotel and excellent value for money
