We made a reservation through booking.com for a 1 bedroom apartment.  We were arriving on Friday and after the reservation was made I inquired if a 2 bedroom apartment was available and they offered to move us on Sunday for the remainder of our week stay.  Upon our arrival we were taken to an ant infested apartment which was not even at the Apartment Bellimar but in a residential complex 5 minutes down the road.  Upon inquiring when on Sunday we would moved we were told in no uncertain terms that this was a huge mistake, no 2 bedroom apartment would be available this week.  Even after showing the confirmation email the manager was adamant that this was not possible.  Since we had no other choice we had to stay in the apartment.  After we return from some grocery shopping we returned to the apartment only to discover that the bedroom was infested with ants and the floor of the bathroom was also crawling with insects.  We immediately called the manager, left a voice mail but we received no response.  We turned to booking.com, but they also had no luck contacting the property management.  On Saturday, after trying to contact them again by ourselves and through booking.com, we had no other recourse but to find other accommodation.  We did, starting Sunday, so we were forced to stay in that apartment another night.  Finally we received a call from the property manager to meet at 7pm on Saturday night where a proceeded to tell us it was all a big misunderstanding, 3 2-bedroom apartment were available staring on Sunday.  And he did not understand what we were complaining about, he had given us a nice apartment.  It was so nice that our 2 girls had to sleep on roll away beds in a lounge that was not big enough to put the beds so we had to rearrange all the furniture to make everything fit.  The Canary Suites which manages the Apartment Bellimar had charged our credit card EUR 179.00 as a deposit which we demanded back but after a lot of going back and forth, they refused to give us the deposit back.  My advise to anybody, do NOT trust Canary Suites or Apartment Bellimar.  There are lots of nice places in the area, this is definitely not one you want to stay at.

Most horrible experience EVER

We stayed in the bottom one-bedroom apartment for five days. The location was great, so close to the beach. We had no car but we walked all the way to the lighthouse and sand dunes at Las Maspalomas (a bit under two hours each way), and every day walked long distances along the sea front promenade. There is a small shopping centre close by with lots of restaurants and I think three small supermarkets.  The apartment is well set up to prepare simple meals. There's a courtyard for the apartment and when you lose the sun there's a shared garden on the other side as well. It's quite quiet too as at the end of a cul de sac. 
I would prefer to give it three and a half stars as I'd say for the price it's pretty good - better than average, but not very good. Shared rubbish bins outside our bedroom window were a bit of a pain - emptied at 6am Sunday morning!  And they meant early noise other mornings too.  A couple of other little niggles too like a complicated door that we had to get the neighbours to show us how to lock, and a gate that locked us in several times!  However a good spot for some RnR. 

Just make sure you get contact before you arrive. The letting agency didn't try to get in contact with us till the day we were due to arrive, but as we don't have a European SIM card, we didn't check our emails en route. When we arrived expecting some sort of reception area we were a bit aghast to find ourselves locked out for a couple of hours until we trekked back to the shopping centre to an Internet cafe and got it sorted. 

Nice spacious apartment

I took my girlfriend on holiday here for her 21st during March/April. We stayed in the 'winter magic' apartment which was very modern and stylish. Manuel the owner is incredibly friendly and did everything he could to make our trip perfect. The beach is 1 minute walk away with Maspalomas being a 5-10 minute drive away (well worth it). Manuel gave us fruit and wine from his families farm which was lovely. Overall it's a brilliant apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our week there.

We stayed in the two bedroom ground floor apt for just over a week.
The apt is brilliantly located for the beach and about 5 minutes to the nearest shopping centre, in fact there are several in the area. It was exceptionally clean and everything was provided for.
Manuel, the owner, was on hand to greet us even though we arrived quite late at night and any minor problems were sorted out instantly.
I would highly recommend this apt to any future guests if you want a beach holiday in a reasonably quiet location yet still only 15-20 mins from the main centre of Playa del Ingles.
We were provided with bicycles which was an added bonus so the trip to town was even faster...
