We only stayed a couple of nights at this tiny amazing hotel up in the mountains of Aragon, but we will defiantly be back soon. In the heart of the hiking country, this is a gem of a hotel, beautiful rooms, attention to every detail, and the whole hearted hospitality of Alejandro and his family. Highly recommended!!

Magical place in the mountains

A little gem tucked into a hillside looking down over a valley of fields, pastures and woods, in the Pyrenees half way between Barcelona and San Sebastian.  Each of the 4 rooms has every convenience, Scandinavian in design, as is the hotel designed by the owner Alejandro.   Just as his style is refreshingly clean, the culinary skills of Mirabelle, his wife, showed no such restraint as the meals are lavish with extraordinary creativity, each dish calling to be photographed and relished.

The hospitality is generous, warm, and welcoming. I wish we could go back often.

A little gem

I cannot rave enough about our experience here.  The rooms are lovely and so very comfortable.  The food is outstanding.  It is truly a gourmet menu and beautifully presented.   The couple that runs the hotel is so very kind and helpful.  I can highly recommend this property.

Perfect!

This hotel is outstanding in every way. Alejandro and Meribelle were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome. The hotel is beautiful and very calming. We were on a hiking holiday and spent time in the spa each evening after we returned from our walks. Meribelle’s food was superb and Alejandro knew where all the ingredients came from. The wine list is excellent, and again Alejandro could describe the location of each of the wineries. The honesty bar was also very welcome! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

An oasis of calm in the mountains

Alessandro and Marie-belle were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. You didn’t feel like you were in a hotel but staying in a friends home. The hotel is in a beautiful location giving you access to lovely hiking areas. Marie-belle’s cooking is excellent also with great packed lunches.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic small family hotel with great cooking.

Alejandro and Maribel are widely traveled and gracious hosts who have created a wonderful retreat in the small town in which he grew up.  Maribel is an amazing cook and Alejandro has a wealth of local information, which is good because one will need to do some hiking to walk off those meals. They use local produce, meat, cheese and wine, and the whole experience is an immersion in beauty and simple elegance of a mountain village.

An extraordinary hotel in a small mountain town.

This hotel was warmly recommended to us by friends who share our interest in great food in beautiful surroundings.  It did not disappoint. The welcome was warm, the food, wine and service outstanding, the hotel and the sweet village of Bonansa an oasis of calm.  We received each day helpful advice on where to go - hikes, Romanesque churches, lovely villages from our host. 

A tip: try not to eat any lunch, especially at Spanish lunchtime   - with dinners like these, you want to arrive hungry.

Words cannot describe this place or the hospitality of the owners.

The attention to detail, the design of the rooms, the food, the kindness, the ease with checking in and out...everything was incredible.

A weekend getaway in Bonansa is something we will never forget. 

Alejandro and Maribel go out of their way to provide you with everything you need. We gave them such short notice on food intolerances and I don't know how they did it, but our dinner menu was modified at the last second and everything was delicious.

A true gem

The most amazing hotel we've been to. The location is amazing, The food is fabulous and delicious. Alejandro and Meribel have built the most wonderful hotel. 
The entire hotel is designed beautifully and with a lot of attention to every little detail.
Don't miss out on dinner, by far the best dinner we have had in our trip.

The best hotel!

We checked in for 3 nights with our 7 month old baby and right away felt like home sweet home.
Alejandro, Maribel and Alejandro junior gave us the 5 star service at one of the greatest spots in the Pyrenees. Location is great for traveling in Aiguestortes natural  park (20 mins from Boi entrance).
It felt like they thought of every little detail. They were more than happy to help us with any special request we had and gave us detailed recommendations for hikes and restaurants in the area (including writing directions on map and advising what will be best dish to order during lunch). 
One of the many highlights of this place is the food. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, both were fabulous. Maribel's food is one of the best we tasted in Spain..

Beautiful spot, great facilities, amazing food and best service and hospitality ever makes terra bonanza heaven on earth and a place we would definitely come back to!!!
