We booked this hotel at the last minute because the strike on 3/10 in Catalunya blocked our route home at Lleida and we had to stay in Aragon an extra day so we decided to get somewhere in the Sierra Guara on the through road A2205.

We were immediately made welcome on arrival, and shown to a room with great countryside views.  We stayed for dinner in the delightful courtyard and it was delicious simple cooking and plenty of it. Best of all the bed was comfortable, the air was clean and clear and we slept well and got home with no problems the next day. We would stay there again and spend more time walking in the Sierra Guara and Vero river valley.

The price is modest, free parking and useable WiFi.

Unexpected Jewel

Very good hotel. Good price, good location for visiting the area. Breakfast very good. 
Recommend for all. We had an apartment for 4 people. Clean and nothing to complain about.

We ate dinner here as well one night, not bad really but you can do better value for price elsewhere in the area. Across the street you eat cheaper for same quality or go a bit further for nicer food.

Good hotel

Plumped for Colungo as a stop between Pamplona and the Costa Brava coast and hit the jackpot here. Colungo itself is a small typically Spanish town in spectacular countryside towards the Viro Valley.  Let's start with the hotel, completely and utterly unpretentious and is as far away from a concrete high rise as you can get. The rooms are simple but exceptionally clean, we found the place peaceful in September.  We ate our evening meal on the prettiest little terrace restaurant attached to the hotel and had a perfectly lovely simple meal each night, inexpensive and complimented with the owner's salad from his garden and home made wine of which one glass was never enough! There is a municipal swimming pool to which guests of the hotel get a complimentary swim. The pool is a short walk from the hotel which is rewarded with a spectacular view once you are in for your swim.  The hotel is well placed for exploring the surrounding countryside and do not miss a journey up into the Viro valley and all the way up by the reservoirs to Ainsi.  Another fabulous place with lashings of atmosphere, restaurants and views out of this world.  Colungo, the hotel, the countryside....a world away from the Costas........the real Spain.

Laid back and charming ......

Stayed one night late May 2016. We arrived in the evening and the hotel was full except for what the owner described as his 'dorm room' on the top floor (Room #301). It had 6 single beds and a large private bathroom attached. It was €45 for the room so we took it. 

Room was quite basic but clean and neat. Toiletries provided in the bathroom. Nice and quiet and both the single beds we used were comfy. Air con worked well as did hot water in shower.

Parking outside the hotel was free. 

WiFi was also free in all areas and it worked quite well.

This was a good stopping off point after Oloron Sainte Marie (night before) and exploring Alquezar the next morning before heading to Monserrat Abbey and Barcelona in the afternoon.

This dorm room was very large and I could easily recommend it to a group of friends or a family group (Mum and Dad in single beds though). Hubby and I would even stay in it again with our adult kids or other friends if were this way again.

We had breakfast here and it was cheap, fresh and set us up for a good start to the day.

The area around Colungo is very scenic and it is quite close to stunning Alquezar and the canyon walk and not that far down from Ainsa (old medieval town further north than Colungo). Lots of canyons around so lots of adventure sports in this area.

Clean, neat and friendly hotel

We are a family of 5 and stayed for three days. The rooms are simple, but air conditioned, clean and functional. It is a family run hotel. Pedro and family are totally focused on customer service and will do everything to make you happy. Prices are very reasonable. The food is outstanding for such a little place. The breakfast is top level and every dinner we took was perfect. We highly recommend this place and we will be back.
