The hostal is very noisy, the shallow walls passed all noise from outside, regardless of coridor or outside from the hotel. When people talked over the telefphone, I could follow their conversation.

The room ( I had a twin bed room) was tiny. The two beds were seperated in a L-shape and somehow to fit there.

The interior is antigue, but not as very valuable, more like old fashioned, nothing more.

The aircondition is partially covered, but the area with COOL and HEAT was not reachable. Therefore at outside temp of 28°C + it became hot in the room.

The village is well distanced from Madrid. There are only busses but not at early morning time and late night coming back into the village is the same problem.

You might think, that you can easily get a taxi. Not at all! The regular taxi companies, such as Uber, Free, Cabify etc. did never accept my request. By calling some of the taxi companies, I was also denied.


not recommandable - noisy, tiny, remote - questionable behaviour of management

Well probably i will be first writting a good review.we were two friends,we had short stay but no issues with size of the room as basically its for sleeping anyway. It was nicely prepared and well equipped for basic needs. 

We booked it through booking.com and on booking it was written different check in time from the one which is written on the door (for low season) so we got a bit confused as the number on booking provided also wasnt answering.but when arrived called the other number and a lovely guy came in few minutes and let us in and provided all needed info.

Overall all good:) lovely time in lovely town:)

For us it was nice

We arrived in a small studio with shower with double bed and sofa bed in salon.
First thing we noticed it was they didn't prepared the bed, we had to do it. No toilet paper and no clieaning service for 3 days. The worst point was the very bad smelling of the appartment, all appartment smelt something like toilets.... i couldn't breath normal inside batheroom without be disgusted. We also founded insects or maybe parasite, who lived inside shower (inside the wall). The positive point : The appartment is very well equiped, small kitchen, litle fridge, tv, and everything seems new and renoved. Other problem was the temperature... NO CLIM, the appartment was so hot and we couldn't live or sleep normally, specially our litle baby who suffered. We got 2 small ventilators but it was really not enough for the humidity. Other negative point was the noise in street and no shutters in windows... only inside, it means anybody could saw us in studio since street specially at night and we didn't felt secure at all with no shutters. All other windows from other houses had barred window (who is very commun in Spain), but not us. We were sad to spend our lasts 3 nights in Conil there, it ruined litle bit our hollidays, but the guy from hostal were very nice and we really think they could do an effort for make a perfect studio, because it has the potential.

It was not as well we expected

This hostel charged us for an extra night despite saying that they would rectify the error and refund us the money. Over two months later and we haven't received an email or call explaining why they haven't reimbursed us.

It's a shame as the hostel is a nice place in a good location, however their customer service (or lack of it) means it should be avoided. 

Be careful

This is the first negative report I have written but it just may be the inspiration to make some changes.   
Firstly the owners were, to a person, friendly and helpful and very nice.   However the room we were allocated was really not very nice.   Tiny - that was not a problem but with no furniture to speak of to be able to unpack a case.   One tiny built in wardrobe and a small bedside set of drawers.   There was room for  say a luggage rack or a table but no.    We had paid an extra amount to have better than the basic so goodness knows what the basic was or the message did not get through.   One final thing was that the small built in wardrobe was damp and all our clothes were damp and musty when we unpacked them at home and had to be washed.

I am only writing this to encourage the owners to up their game a little and pay more attention to the needs of their clients.   A few hooks in both the bedroom and bathroom would have made quite a difference and a shelf in the bathroom by the washbowl would also have been nice.    Not any cost but would have made life easier.

The Hostal is well placed in Conil and would certainly have gained regular visits from us because we live less than two hours away and love the town.   As it is I don't suppose we will go back and are not able to recommend it either.

Need to up their game

This hostal is in the very heart of Conil. It could be convenient, if you want to stay up all night and have fun outside. For someone who wants to get to bed around midnight and sleep, find something else. The room was quite small, so we had problems fitting our two suitcases in, which was not very pleasant. Other than that, it was all right. Would probably look for something else, if we went to Conil again, although it was not completely terrible.
