We had the pleasure to stay at Monica's place for eleven nights in august 2023. We felt at home almost immediately, about 1300 km from home. Mas Vila is located perfectly just outside of medieval Monells. It's a quiet safespace in beautiful but busy Costa Brava. All of Costa Bravas hotspots within comfortable driving distance: Peratallada, Pals, Figueres, Girona, Begur and it's beaches are all within 45 minutes driving distance. Mas Vila has 4 or 5 separate appartements, all with their own garden. Pool is great. And, above all, Monica is a great host. Such a pleasure staying there.

Beautiful quiet safespace in the Costa Brava 

The best destination if you are looking for good acomodation, good environement, good comunication with Girona and Costa Brava, and good people. The house is big enough for families with children, and if not is also big enough for being alone in the swimming pool in a quiet place. Garden, swimmng pool, rooms, baths and kitchen really good.

Our family stayed here for 11 days in July and loved its location close to some of Spains most attractive tourist locations and food spots. Monica was a gem in looking after our needs and for information. The pool was a hit with the family due to its size and depth. Highly recommend it for the larger family or families wanting to holiday in this very special area.

Perfect for the larger family or families

We stayed for one week at Mas Vilà and we enjoyed it very much! Half f our group was catalan, half was from another country, and all of us agree that the stay was very pleasant, comfortable and that the house was beautiful, in very good conditions and very spacious (we stayed in the upper floor apartment).

We all highly recommend Mas Vilà to those who are looking for a traditional catalan “masia” (countryside house”) in a quiet, lovely village, but at the same time at only 20min drive from the nearest beaches.

Many things to visit around the house: charming small villages, wonderful Costa Brava beaches and villages, many village restaurants...
The treatment with the owner was exceptional! She was always there for anything we might need, and made everything be very smooth.

Highly recommendable! Both for people from the country who wanna disconnect and have some relaxing days, and for people from abroad who wanna visit L’Empordà and Catalunya!

Más Vila is our favorite place to spend time at in the summer. We have been coming here for ten years. It is only a kilometre outside of Monells, in the hilly baix emporda. Monica is a generous and energetic hostess. She takes meticulous care of the property. The sheets are crisp and new & the mattresses very comfortable. The pool is divine and perfect for hot summer afternoons after the beach & a nice lunch. There are chickens you can feed your left over watermelon rinds and veggies too in exchange for a few eggs every day. La Tina is where we stay. It has two queen bed rooms & a room with two twin beds. Each bedroom has an individual air conditioner, but you may not need them, as the nights are breezy & beautiful. We hear owls and frogs every night & like to play cards at the massive dining table. The kitchen is HUGE & you can dine outside or inside. There is a great bbq, a Nespresso machine, an oven and stovetop as well as an electric kettle, a microwave and a dishwasher. There are literally hundreds of cooking utensils and vessels. You will need to bring very little. We bring paper towels and plastic wrap...

Best place in the Costa Brava!

We have been to Mas Vila on two occasions, separated by 6 years.  It was a wonderful experience the first time and even better the second.  The house has a fantastic location just outside of Monells, a very picturesque town in the Baix Emporda.  From the house, you can walk the tractor road into town for Cafe con Leche and any kind of little Tapas you are in search of.
There are chickens and cats and a little garden. Monica invites you to grab the morning eggs or a zucchini or some cherry tomatoes anytime you please.  The family works hard to maintain the property.  There is an immaculate and fairly large pool with lovely olive trees framing it.  The house is well appointed, the beds are comfortable and the sheets are starched and lovely and fresh.  They speak (at least!) English, Catalan and Spanish and know the area like the back of their hand and will help you with anything you need.

Best Casa Rural, Rural Accommodation in Costa Brava!!!

Warmly received by the owner, we found a huge and beatiful house (la Tina) nearby the splendid pool, which, though being kind of cold (October), served perfectly due to its pretty illumination during our long barbecue sessions in the evening. The photos in the web are completely reliable and the house is very well equipped, not only with all basic stuff, but also with luxury things like dish-washing machine or whirl-pool. One also may find useful the numerous travel guides which can be found in the living room, but it occured to us that the accommodation was so nice and relaxing that we mainly spent our time hanging around in the beautiful garden.
