Surrounded by nature in front of the mountain where vultures live. The hotel is an old oil mill restored into hotel. Decorated tastefully. Excellent plates, cured meats, cheeses and wines of the region. But are essential sweets and artisans cakes of Monica. I must return only for taste another time the chocolat cake. And very important, all them are glutlen free.

The managers are incredible nice and helpful

And we had always great food for dinner although we always forget to notify them in advance ( which you should) it was like making vacations with friends

The place is not totally quiet and the beds are not the best , but other than that we had a great weekend

If you have kids we strongly recommend to go to El bosque and have a walk along the river, even in the summer it is shady and you found a lots of places to have a picnic or just put your feet in the water

Fantastic relaxing familiar hotel with surprisingly good food

The hotel is situated just to the south of the beautiful white village of El Bosque set in gorgeous countryside, overlooked by a tall green cliff face. Dotted around the grounds are small tables and chairs, plants, herbs and other decorations.

The hotel is in a converted oil mill, with a number of different buildings stylishly decorated to accommodate their guests. I was lucky enough to get the largest suite on offer, with a double bed downstairs and three single beds on the mezzanine floor. The decoration is simple and uncluttered, with some lovely antique-looking pieces and distressed furniture. The bathroom was huge, with a large walk-in shower and lovely, traditional patterned tiles. It even had a small lounge area of its own. The only downsides of the room were a lack of aircon, it had no tv (not that I wanted a tv but a lot of people would), and it had a damp smell about it.

Outside, at the back, is a patio area where we were served lunch and dinner, overlooking the countryside. The food we were served, including tortilla, carrillada, ajo blanco, a range of salads, and flan, were all delicious. There is a pool at the other side which I didn’t try, but a colleague of mine did and reported it to be a very welcome refreshing experience when it’s 38 degrees outside! Anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away in a lovely hotel, with very nice hosts and excellent food should definitely check it out!
