The hotel in such a small village was a real surprise. Very neat, nice and the rooms are very clean. The bed however was a bit soft. As we were the only guests in the restaurant the breakfast was served at a bar just 75 m further in the street. Although the service was food we asked for orange juice and croissants too as this was not served together with our bocadilla (sandwich). Nevertheless the stay was great and the personnel is very nice and cooperative.

Unexpected good

Booked this hotel online via Booking.com albeit limited reviews available and about an hour away from the Motorland Circuit (Aragon) near Alcaniz. 

All I can say is what a surprise and so glad we did book this place. Lovely setting up in the hills, good roads all round, some great scenery and a lovely little village. Stayed a couple of nights, ate in the hotel where family team made us feel very welcome and did what they could to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Food really good and the family produce their own wine with both the Red and the White well worth a try (so we did . . both nights!). 

We took the time to talk to the family and find out more about the hotel, the traditional bar they own (where you eat breakfast) and the wine / olive production. Spanish / Catalan is the primary language and as typical Brits abroad, I am sorry to say our language skills were not great; "Google Translate" to the rescue! If we couldn't say what we wanted to say, we could at least type out a message and make ourselves understood and the use of the google app came in handy and a talking / funny point.

 This really is a hidden gem up in the hills north of Gandesa. Rooms and location I would say are excellent for the price we paid; would I go again - Yes!!! The family are all such welcoming people which really added to the experience.
