The best albergo I had on the path muxia - fisterra - Santiago. We were a group of 8. The hosts did understood English quite alright (a very rare thing in Spain), were very friendly. Hospitality 100%. The owner also put an extra effort of crafting some bracelets and necklaces for us, the girls very happy af. The place itself is very cozy, an amazing kitchen with all the necessary stuff. 

Fisterra best albergo

 Albergue de Sonia is a wonderful place to stay. Its very clean and quiet. The location is perfect for everything there is to see in Finisterre.  Sonia, Alicia and Debra are the best!! They made me feel comfortable, welcome and a real part of the Camino family.

The Trail is impressive although not for out of shape walkers.

There are a number of services that will help you map an itinerary with hotel reservations and transportation of your baggage from hotel to hotel along the trail.

We used Camino.com which was great.  



The Pilgrims Hike

We came with bycicles and stayed here for 2 nights. We have a wonderful time, a friendly and warm environment. Our hostess were very friendly and helpful and we got along just fine. We prepared our meals in their fully equipt kitchen. You can buy drinks and coffee in the reception area, they even have souvenirs of the Camino route. Wifi is available, they also have laundry room to wash and dry clothes. 
The rooms are spacious and , cleaned on a daily basis. Bunk beds are comfortable. You get a sheet and a pillow cover and a blanket. (Bring a sleeping sack).
Some rooms even have shared bathrooms (clean -enough of toiletries).☆ I would maybe recommend installing a hairdryer to dry hair ☆.
If you have a bicycle, you can put in a locked shed.

Great place to stay in Finisterre

We stayed there for four nights, we reserved in advance and the reservation worked good. It was a bit confusing because according to the Buen Camino app they have double rooms and triple rooms, but they only had rooms for four which could be used like double and triple rooms. We reserved two rooms and got a private bathroom, which usually is a common bathroom only with a piece of paper on the door that said private. The stay was ok and the staff is really friendly. Sadly their shared bathroom on the first floor is full of mold on the ceiling, because it is a room without any window or air circulation so that the steam after taking a shower stays inside. This makes drying after taking a shower really hard 😄 
Even though we had a nice time and the kitchen is well equipped so that we were able to do a Camino family dinner. 

Nice albergue but a dirty and mold bathroom

At the very end of the Camino, the Albergue of Sonia is a quite, warm and relaxing place to stay.  Sonia and her crew are really taking care of their guests, in order to feel at home. That place full of light is up to the main street of Fistera, a 7' walk from the long beach and close to a few tiny shops. We loved the way we were just considered as friends from the Camino :)

how you feel in this place completely depends on who is attending you at that moment. Only one of the girls working there speaks english, and she's real nice and responsive; The owner, Sonia, is nice too and will speak a lot but in spanish with some english words only. The guy in the night shift, on the other hand.... He´s not welcoming at all, talks hard to customers, spends all his time locked inside the office watching movies, doesn´t really engage into any kind of convo.... The hostel has all the minimums it should have (except real bedsheets) but the human side is not as nice sometimes.

Not as good as it looks

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable hostel with friendly staff, this place is for you. The owner, Sonia, will go out of her way to make you feel at home despite the language barrier. I liked it so much that I extended my stay. It was a perfect place from where to further explore my beautiful surroundings. Cape Finisterre is a gorgeous place in itself, but staying at this hostel added a little something extra to my stay :). I shall be coming back no doubt and I totally recommend you check this place out. Thanks again!
