Dugium is a little hard to find, but worth the effort!  This 17th century house was lovingly renovated in 2000.  Everything is exceptionally clean and well-maintained.  There is a perfectly manicured garden in the back with a fountain.  Ernesto, the owner, doesn't speak English, but with the translation app on our phones we were able to communicate easily.  Breakfast is served on the garden patio and is a dazzling array of pastries, fruits, cheese, cereal, and yogurt.  Even though Dugium is out in the country, don't hesitate to stay here.  Fisterra is close by; just a few minutes drive into town.

Outstanding B & B

This bed and breakfast place is a true taste of rural Spain. Absolutely loved it. The room was decorated in traditional rural style and the old shutters opened to give fabulous views over the countryside. 
The property has been lovingly restored, while keeping true to its roots. The library area downstairs has some amazing photos and maps to look at. The garden area at the back of the property is beautiful, it also has vines, a fountain and a beautifully restored horreo.  
Our host spoke little English, but we managed to communicate. He was very helpful in showing us around the property. Breakfast is taken in the garden and is a veritable feast, it was amazing. 
Loved everything about this place and it is a very short distance from Fisterre itself, yet feels away from it all. 

Rural Spain at its best!

Thoughtfully and very functionally renovated and impeccably maintained old house in a very quiet village area providing for a wonderful rustic atmosphere, yet providing all necessary amenities for the traveler (spacious and newly furnished bathroom, ample number of electricity plugs, private parking ...). 

The cozy and relaxing atmosphere goes beyond the room - common area with extensive library and lovely authentic furniture, well-kept garden with fountain and hórreo (typical granary). 

The host was kind and helpful adding even more to otherwise already perfect experience. Breakfast was also a treat: varied and plentiful with freshly made different kinds of cakes being a highlight. 

Should our ways bring us back anywhere near Fisterra, there are absolutely no doubts where we will be staying. :)

Wonderful place that deserves more than a one night stay

Even though it's a hike outside of Finisterre, Dugium is a lovely place to stay.  We stayed for a couple nights after finishing the Camino from Roncesvalles, and Dugium was a quiet oasis where we could simply rest, read, and take in the sun on the terrace.  Host Ernesto was very welcoming, and picked us up and dropped us off in Finisterra several times over the few days we were there.  Otherwise, getting a cab is also easy (5€).  

Well worth a visit

We spent an evening here with new friends and family, whilst preparing for a wedding in the forthcoming days. I was blown away by how beautiful this location miles. Far enough away from the main road to be remote, but close enough to not be so far away that you feel cut off.

Our family evening here was so delightful, and easily accommodated a party of about 30 people. The weather was phenomenal (we were lucky, because it does rain a lot here) and just made everything that much more special.

If you are coming with a big group of friends, or family, you absolutely cannot go wrong by booking this place.
