This was our first time visiting Formentera.  We travelled with friends who regularly visit the island. All of us were so impressed with this lovely hotel.  Its location is perfect for exploring the lovely town of Es Pujols and central to explore this wonderful island.
Our room was spotlessly clean as was the hotel. Breakfast was delicious with options of freshly cooked hot food.
Staff were all helpful and friendly especially on reception. 
Pool towels wee provided for use at the pool or at the beach, they also provided us with a beach bag.
Although we did not have the chance to use the pool area, it looked so nice with great views.
We will definitely recommend and return to this hotel.

I had very pleasant warm evenings dining on the terrace some very good dishes from ground floor Sa Volta restaurant.

Where you can really "take it easy"

Sa Volta is the perfect place to stay in Formentara.  The hotel is located in Es Pujols, a city on the coast. The hotel is a block from a wonderful beach surrounded by small shops and dining options and there are views of the sea from my room as well as from the roof top pool and jacuzzi.  The rooms are natural in their decor which fits the island and well equipped. The bedding lovely and air conditioner quiet. There is even room service free of charge from the bar and restaurant.  Buffet breakfast has a wide variety-I especially enjoyed the local figs this visit.  The staff is friendly and accommodating. They provide local information, suggestions for beaches and dining and even filled my water bottle with cool water.  Between the daily drag beach towels, the welcoming lobby and the giant TVs in the bar for soccer matches, it was an exquisite stay.  I met a guest who has been coming here for over 20 years and I understand why. I hope to return  next year.

We stayed at Sa Volta for our 5 year anniversary trip. We were welcomed with a glass of cava and a room upgrade. Staff went the extra mile to help us enjoy our stay. I must say that I expected less due to it only being a 3 star hotel, but in this case the experience went beyond expectations! Highly recommend. 

Beyond expectations 

This is a hotel which over the years has expanded from a bar and restaurant into a stylish, well-equipped building on the corner of a main street, about 100 metres from the very attractive beach at Es Pujols.  One side faces the street and the other a little park and children's playground - this side is a bit quieter, although a small Spanish coastal town is not the place to go for silence at night. The rooms are well fitted, double glazed and very clean. We really enjoyed our three night stay here. The breakfasts are simply lovely with a wide selection of fruits, cereals, cheeses, cold meats and you can have cooked items if you wish. You can either eat inside the long dining room or on the terrace at street level (but many people here do smoke).  On the 4th (top) floor there is a terrace, small swimming pool and loungers plus more music than I wanted. If you want a quieter room here the best choice is the second floor facing the park. There is such a wide choice of eating out in this nice little town that we did do this each evening, especially where you can see the beach and the endless procession of youngsters taking photos of themselves.................Maybe a few of them look at their surroundings, who knows? This is a good hotel and service is very nice and friendly.

A well-run family hotel

This is the second time we stay at Sa Volta. The room was great and service is at the top. Good location, close to the beaches and the city. 

The family leads with good service and always warm and kind. Great roof top pool, where we spend time returning from the beaches.

Great family hotel

Formentera is a lovely place to go and the Sa Volta Hotel is the place to stay. We had a superior room which is on the 3rd floor ,it had a bigger balcony and  lovely views. The hotel is modern comfortable and spotless, the staff brilliant.  The breakfasts excellent with everything you could wish for. The swimming pool on the roof terrace was small but if you wanted more the sea is only 5 mins walk away. The local restaurants are excellent if a little pricey but the food and service worth the money. If you like the sea and beaches this is the perfect place, however we were there at the end of May and the season was just starting the weather was perfect the beaches not too busy but by the end of our break it was getting very busy and may be a bit overcrowded. The island has lots of scooters and bicycles for hire and I would think in the main season it could be a problem.

This is the place to chill out

perfect hotel and restaurant/bar in the middle of Es Pujols. Perfect for sitting in front of the restaurant and watch the people. good hotel (3-4 star). Located only a few hundred meters from the beach in the middle of Es Pujols. But on a street crossing, in summertimes you will hear the traffic. A place to be. Very friendly staff, not too high prices
