We´ve had very bad experience in Casa Fara  - ruined our vacation. The owner was very, very rude, there were cockroaches and the children (between 12 and 17 and excellent swimmers) were not allowed to go to the pool by themselves.

Nice place to visit Formentera, far from the crowded towns and where you can also enjoy a nice swim on the pool (even during the night hours, not bad). The apartment is ok, the bath....well the bath could definitely be improved and the smell from the sewer one night was really bad. 
The personnel is very nice and of help.

Nice location to visit the Island

I booked this hotel and due to an emergency I had to cancel within ONE HOUR of booking.  This hotel REFUSED to give me money back and did not even consider or sympathise with the fact that I cancelled within one hour of booking.   This is a VERY bad sign in my eyes.  It tells me that this hotel are very DESPERATE for the money and business must not be good....

VERY DISAPPOINTING WITH THIS ACCOMMODATION

Look. This is Formentera and it's expensive, beautiful but simple. However, this place is under new ownership this season and has barely had a lick of paint before opening. This makes it bad value for money and with strong competition from better places. We liked the location fairly near a beach and the pool itself was great. Our room/suite was huge and with outdoor terrace. 
That's the good points. The downside was that the place sorely needs modernising. It's very 1960s and all of the outside furniture in the pool area is old and faded. There is a fence around the pool itself and the vibe is very uncool. Nobody spent any time in this area as it was off putting. The furniture inside was also shabby - a wardrobe with Pokemon stickers on it and an old sofa outside that my dog wouldn't sleep on!
The owner neglected to tell us there was no drinking water. We wondered why the coffee was salty in the morning!
The main issue was the charges for cleaning. There wasn't any cleaning. Four white towels were supplied and we used these all week. As you can imagine, they became grubby pretty quickly. We stayed in three other places during our trip and they were all cheaper and they all supplied clean towels daily. Why not here?
This could be a real gem. We won't return until a refurb though!

Needs a refurb, poor value at present

We booked this apartment 3 days before our departure.we had apartment number 6 on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool terrace and out towards the sea.The apartment was very clean and quite large.A lovely bathroom again clean and roomy.toilet sink bidet and shower.The setting for casa fara apartments is quite remote so you will need transport ie moped car bike.Casa fara is not in Es Calo as it states however further along the coast by about 2 or 3 miles away.A couple of things that annoyed us was the booking! So be aware of this! We booked through booking.com which was easy and accurate.however the site does say a cleaning charge will be added to the total price! It was only when we completed the booking that casa fara had advised us that the cleaning fee at the end of your stay would be 45 euros each!! 90 euros was not a nice surprise as we already booked it! This information should of been available before we booked. Also the apartment is not cleaned whilst you are staying there nothing at tall ! We had to shake the sand from bedcovers as it's not nice sleeping in sand! No change of towels either.we asked and they told us it would be 20 euros for one change of towels.This is a new complex and would suggest with there being so much better competition this apartment complex need to step up to the mark.would I stay there again? No I don't think so for the money we paid we could have had much better on the Island.I have given it average as it could have potential if they sorted out the cleaning on a daily basis and fresh linen towels exchanged at least twice a week.
