We booked at the last minute and were delighted with the accommodation provided. The lady at reception, Barbara, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. She answered our many questions with a smile, ensured we were aware of how to get in and our when reception was closed, and explained about courtesy facilities on departure day. The studio was impeccably clean, the beds extremely comfortable with spare blankets in case we were cold. Bathroom modern and functional, plenty hot water. Really lovely with a divine view of the water and lots of little white boats. We would go back for sure!

WONDERFUL BASE FOR EXPLORING FORMENTERA

My husband and I stayed here on 27th June for one night. This small hostel is friendly and the views are breathtakingly beautiful. You even get a sunset from your balcony or the lovely small beach.These apartments are located in a great place to explore the whole island.But it also have loads of lovely places too eat and even had a small market with stalls selling an array of beautiful hand made crafts and clothes. The apartments itself were great with a small plunge pool and kids pool as well with a lovely restaurant next door.Our studio was huge and had a small kitchen. Shower great bathroom spotless. It was amazing.xx can't wait to go back x

Amazing over night stay

Excellent apartments in an excellent location in the port of La Savina. Convenient for beaches, restaurants, bicycle, scooter and car hire. Beautiful island, friendly people. October is a great time to go as it is not too busy.

Fermenter accomodation

In the center of la savina, near the harbour and shops and restaurants
Pool was not that big but when we were there it was not a problem to have one of the 4 sun beds

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again, it was very poor value for money, given the £1,600 it cost for a week. The view which originally attracted me was very good and one of the reception staff was very helpful and local transport was good. However listen to the rough guide and stay in another resort, transport throughout the island was good. The hotel was in need of a major overhall, it was pretty dirty and ill kept. The pool is about a three metre circle, the photos you see makes it look as if they are showing just an edge of it, but what you see in the photos is all you get, a tiny pool with 6 loungers that are mostly broken and dirty. The rooms were small and not very clean, there is no cleaning done during the week you stay. The beds are very poor quality and they use plastic sheets on them. In the evening if you want to sit on the balcony and enjoy the lovely view you need to accept a lot of noise from the restaurant of the hotel below you, which goes on till the early hours.
Overall I'd give it a miss, the hotel and the resort. The island itself is quite nice, good for walking.

I wouldn't stay here again!

The location is great, with a beautiful view from the back, but rooms at the front are right on a busy road, so there is considerable road noise.  The receptionist was helpful with getting us taxis and leaving luggage.  But, for what we paid we were very disappointed.   As a group we had 3 rooms.  They were tatty, tired and poorly equipped. No lift, kettle, toaster, hairdryer.  We had a few ants, and the place needs new kitchens, bathrooms and decorating.  The apartment did have an air conditioning unit though, as well as the old fan (pictured). The professional pictures of the pool are interesting! In reality, the pool is very small, 3/4 strokes and you are at the other end. Half the sun beds were broken. The Cafe del Lago which is a separate business I think, but linked to apartments served a lovely meal, albeit drinks expensive. Wi fi only in reception and pool area. We did not feel this was value for money, but then this is an expensive island.

Tired and needs updating

We booked this hotel for a stay in July through hotels.com. They charged us 272 euro as a deposit. According to the information from hotels.com and the hotel, the hotel offered free cancellation until June. Due to changed plans, we cancelled this booking in the end of January and we have still not received our money from the hotel. Hotels.com has called them several times but they only talk Spanish and there has been a lot of problems with getting our money back. If you do not want to be in the same situation like us, we recommend you NOT to book this hotel.
