We stayed in the air del mar apartment .one bedroom with balcony small well equipped kitchenette. Very comfy bed and very clean.we travelled as a couple and the apartment suited us very well being a stone's throw from the beach and all the bars and restaurants..we love the costa del sol and have visited here quite a few times now over the years and normally try different places to stay..but we would definitely stay here again on our next visit if available .many thanks to Eduardo and his partner Sheyma .great communication with us .and very happy .we leave in a couple of days and feel well rested and our bones alot warmer then they would av been in the uk..thanks so much really great hosts..kelvin and cathy.

Short winter break in the sun.

Over the past 10 years been a regular visitor to these apartments.
As previously stated the apartments are being sold off and there are now lots of private apartments (I will review ours separate as lovely).
The issue with this is that Mom-fri from around 9am there is building works as people who buy apartments renovate them.
This depends then on where you are positioned compared to building work for us we were far enough away to not be intrusive.
The pool remains clean and not in high use for early September but the sun beds are showing there age.
If like us you book with an owner you don’t access hotel via reception now it’s via a clearly marked entrance on sea front. 
Onsite pool bar is now fully closed but the talk of the town still has direct access to the pool for any food or drinks.
The supermarket part of complex is now closed but the same owners now run a larger one next door.
All in all location still key and you actually get a better room not as dated by booking direct with owners

Recent holiday

Having stayed here many times we were disapointed this time. There wasn't the same atmosphere about the place and the pool area and the upstairs sun veranda was filthy. No bar and the catering machines had gone. No supermarket at apts as it has moved next door and is more expensive now with no discount for ronda customers as before. People were being shown around the whole time we were there so we felt a bit uncomfortable sunbathing. Security doors into apts yet the pool gate was propped open most of the time we were there which meant anyone could enter the apartments via the pool without going past reception. For very little cost more when I returned later in month I stayed at the Yaramar and it was 5star service. Price is too high now for what you get at ronda and the noise and dirt due to the renovations of the apartments being sold. Staff as usual were so friendly and the English lady on reception looks after us as regulars. We appreciated being let stay on in apt. as nobody was going into it and our flight was in evening. Sad as have great memories.

Disapointed

Went back to Ronda again for the 5th year and found some changes I wasn't gone on. The bar is still closed, they give you 1 fob to get in & out the door because they sold some of their apartments & theres building going on in Ronda with a lot of noise with NO warning. The supermarket is closed down. You need to use the supermarket next door. The apartment we stayed in had a door that made a lot of noise when it got breezy outside plus you could hear people out in the corridor talking and arguing late at night.  The windows need greasing as it was hard to open.  Although this was our 5th time this was our worst visit unfortunately.  Apart from that Fuengirola is beautiful. 

Ronda 4 has taken a step back

This is well situated frontline Torroblanca approximately 250 m from renfe Station 🚉 good place to stay all round value for money good pool area and bar. We have stayed here several times over the years check they website out call them direct you might get a better deal most speak good English 24 hour front desk

Good seafront apartments not far from town center nice but basic rooms very clean also which some of these places in fuengirola  do not have central heating the hotel provides a nice restaurant and snack bar its also very close to other cafes and as a supermarket if you are catering for yourself our apartment had a basic kitchen with pots and pans provided and car parking nice swimming pool too.

Good

Visited ronda on an excersion, it was excellant. Scenery outstanding. Views of the old and new parts of the city. Full of history. The bullring experience outstanding. Plenty of places to eat and shop  Architecture amazing and so many different styles.

Booked through Booking.com 5 nts having stayed there 6 times before, due to changes and selling apartments of privately rooms above being gutted, banging, drilling etc all day 6 days a week and guess it will continue if they do it to more, on arrival told there will be no cleaner not told in  advance, first 3 nights no hot water 6pm in evening, complained about noise and told they are private people so no control over work, 23 degs but pool not open till May could not even put my head under pool shower locked up, handyman kindly hosed sunbeds down as they were grubby, suggest this place is given a wide berth until they shape up, my last visit.

Owners need to look at themselves.

Travelled up here for the third time, sill as exciting to see the gorge with the old bridge. On the way up there visited Reservatauro a ranch owned by Rafael Tejada a famous bull fighter where we learned about the breeding of fighting bulls. There is a shop and a museum where you can also purchase locally produced honey etc.
My only criticism of Ronda was at the bus station where there is no free access to use the public toilets: they charge 50c and will not permit entry without payment! Very distressing for people with special needs!
