We had a magnificent stay at La Torre del Visco.  So warm and welcoming.   From the very attentive, friendly staff to the well appointed, comfortable rooms and delicious farm to table cuisine.  A special added bonus was meeting fantastic people around the breakfast table.  An extremely memorable stay for all the right reasons.  Looking forward to going back!

Our best experience in Spain!

Dinner on the Torre del Visco terrace on a cool summer's evening (not so many of them this August!) overlooking the the valley and the sun setting over rugged hills behind is always an annual pleasure. The quality of the food, wine and the experience is gauranteed by the high standards of Jemma Markham and her great team.

La Torre del Visco is, to me, one of the most welcoming places I have ever been.

The property has all you need to feel at home: a peaceful environment surrounded by an olive grove and acres of forest; gardens to rest and refresh in the pool; books and bright corners in the house to sit down and relax; a wonderful wine cellar and beautiful rooms. Also, if, like us, you are more of the active type, there are trails to run starting at the property, climbing areas just a few minutes drive away, and canyons and trails in the Natural Parcs of "Els Ports" and "Tinença de Benifassà" within a slightly longer drive. However, what really makes the difference is not the building or the activities, but the people filling the place. From the gardener to the owner, they are all fantastic people willing to share the beauty of the place with us.

The restaurant deserves a special mention, and the gastronomic experience is truly amazing. Ruben, the chef, really shows in the menu the respect he feels towards the products of the territory. Each course was creative in the way the ingredients were presented, and it was fun to find the vegetables we just saw in the garden on our plates and identify known flavors in creams, foams and broths. Also, do not miss the opportunity to taste some of the wines they have on the list; the sommelier will help you find something that matches your taste, and the waiting staff is lovely and really knows the products they serve.

We will surely be back!

Such a welcoming place

We recently stayed here for four nights. It was an outstanding experience. Restful, beautiful surroundings and excellent food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special place. There are some wonderful walks to to nearby medieval villages. Do not be daunted by the 5km of dirt/gravel road you must traverse to reach the hotel. It is a small price to pay for such serenity.

A beautifully designed and delightful hotel in a wonderful setting with lovely staff, excellent food and extremely comfortable rooms. Would unreservedly recommend for a perfect getaway in a lesser visited area of Spain with many old towns and villages to explore in the region.

Well worth a visit.

La Torre del Visco is far and away the most relaxing, luxurious, and yet unpretentious inn I've ever stayed at.  Beautiful gardens; multi-terraced layers of gorgeous hardscape and landscape; delicious and creative dishes using produce from their own gardens; a simple salt-water pool set into the mountain side, vistas of the mountains all around; stylish and comfortably appointed interior salons; helpful staff; pure peace and quite -- it cannot get any better than this.     

Magnificent get-a-way in the Matarranya region of Spain

This is en exquisite hotel filled with magnificent gardens and artistic details throughout.  It is located in an isolated pocket of,Aragon but surrounded by marvelous villages well-worth exploring.
The weather was extraordinarily hot during my stay so I was unable to enjoy all aspects of the,property as I,would have liked.
Marta does a superb job managing the,property and has many wonderful ideas for excursions.
Unfortunately, I never used the beautiful,pool because it required climbing a small hill filled with pebbles. There is no handrail.
The suite was extremely comfortable with a large living room and lovely,paintings.

An exquisite gem

This place is stunning.

The building itself is a absolutely beautiful and the gardens etc are magical.

It is remote so you only want to come if you are ready to relax but it is definitely worth it.

I wouldn't say the food it fantastic - it is good but not amazing - but really you are here for the setting.

This is a HIGH RECOMMEND.

Wow!!!!

We arrived to this charming place - by chance.
Before going on holiday in Spain we were looking for a place in nature, with good food, and with good conditions. We  certainly got what we wanted and more .
We arrived on a rainy day in March, on an unpaved  road and we were greeted by an ancient house in the middle of the forest - everything is green all around.
The staff who greeted us were super nice and helpful. We got the charming room, and a tour of the hotel. The place was built with great love - it shows in every place. The restoration done to the building took many years, but the result is simply outstanding. Every detail was given attention. The public area are cozy, beautiful,  and inviting. The balconies were facing a beautiful view (unfortunately we couldn't enjoy them because of the rain) 
The wine cellar is with  great offer of wines, in deciding which wine to take help us the sommelier - with a huge knowledge in wines.
Dinner was cooked in front of us. We were lucky and got to eat at the wide table in the kitchen, in front of the chef - it was an extraordinary experience. Alejandro - a young and creative chef - pampered us.
Indeed, we visited heaven. Not enough but leaves a taste for more.

We found Haven !

We stayed here 3 days as part of a wedding celebtration.  Our room was lovely, the food excellent, and staff friendly an attentive. There is plenty to do in the area. The building is elegant and charming.
