We stayed for 3 nights in September and found the Casa Horno del Oro to be delightful. It is very convenient for nearby restaurants and the Alhambra and is in the very pretty old town of Granada. The hotel itself is stunning and has magnificent views of Alhambra. We had the ground floor room which is small but beautiful and fine for a few nights. We felt very comfortable there and had a chilled and enjoyable long weekend. The owners were welcoming, especially Victor and if we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to stay there.

Lovely

From the noisy and crowded road along the river Darro to the side alley and voila - you are at the old Moorish house filled with artifacts. This property is all about location and ambiance. We had upper room with amazing roof top terrace and  magnificent view of Alhambra. From here you are at the walking distance to everything in Granada. Breakfast is OK, bed could be a little bit more comfortable, longer at least, but still OK. But note that to fall asleep and wake up in the morning with this incredible view is priceless.

Magical

The house is more like a riad in Morocco - stuffed to the gills with artefacts and beautiful objects.  The roof terrace at night is magical, with a wonderful view of the Alhambra lit up against the night sky.  Our room had its own little patio, but it did mean that we didn't get much sunlight in the room itself.  we also had a piano in the room!  It was more like staying in a friend's house than a hotel.  Bit spooky at times as the housekeeper leaves in the afternoon and there is no-one living there.  Great place.  Only disappointment was the fact that there were only two bags of black tea for our 4 night stay and, rather than get more in, I was expected to drink red or green tea.  My only complaint.

Beautiful house and lovely location

Happy we choose to stay here. Good sized comfortable room.  Lovely views of Alhambra from the roof terrace.  Interesting neighborhood.  Easy walk to the bus stop for the red local buses that go everywhere you would want to go. Happy we choose to stay here

Pleasant stay

We stayed at the room with  direct access to the roof terrass, and above that was Another terrass where you could sit in the evenings and enjoy the whole atmosphere at roof top level, including the Alhambra that was right above us. It was no nice we were reluctant to leave the buildning. But it was perfectly located in the old town area and with the Alhambra just Walking up the hill above.  Also the ambiance in the old building, nicely restaurated, added to the experience.
We were the only guests these 2 Days. The two ladies serving breakfast did onlys speak Spanish and some French, but that was no big deal.  Just loved the Place!

Amazing location and roof top terrace!

The Horno del Oro is up a narrow street in a perfect position opposite the Al Hambra.
On arrival we were greeted warmly and handed the keys to the front door as well as our room.
Breakfast is ok, and is the only time you see any staff, You just come and go ,as if it were your own house.  The rooms are comfortable ours with a lovely terrace and piano,. the decor is old arab, and is wonderful. The top terraces have stunning views of the Al Hambra
