Delightful small hotel in the countryside with attentive service, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and an excellent staff. We were delighted with breakfast and dinner. The staff will do anything to make your visit more pleasant. Very relaxing very clean and a wonderful experience. I would definitely return.
Initially, we were staying at another hotel in Graus, but it was not anywhere near as nice as this one, and we were very happy that we moved.

What a great find, lovely hotel,in a convenient spot very near to Graus- and the hosts were so kind. We ate super food, and their knowledge and suggestions about where to visit, meant our stay was even more special.

What a find!

A real hidden gem and a wonderful retreat. 
This former Bodegas has been lovingly restored by the current owners, Reiner & Arncle who are the perfect hosts and clearly passionate about their business and home.  They have future plans to create a swimming pool in the grounds and outdoor restaurant. The hotel is tucked away up a rural lane but only a short distance from the town and enjoys a commanding position overlooking the valley. There are only four letting rooms and ours, Calla was a comfortable and spacious room that has been beautiful furnished with individual flair, views over the countryside and a sumptuous shower room. 
This is the perfect hotel for the gastronomic, as the food is lovingly prepared by Arncle, who is an exceptional chef and a master of his craft.  The dishes use local organic produce some from the family farm.  Our dinner was absolutely delicious and by far one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed, even compared to the many Michelin star restaurants we have eaten at.  The wine cellar compliments the food and Reiner is happy to recommend the perfect pairing. Breakfast was of a similar high standard with an excellent selection that will certainly set you up for the day.

A beautiful characterful retreat offering exquisite food and wonderful hosts

What a fabulous find this place was. After having to cancel twice due to covid we finally got to the Spanish Pyrenees on our motorbikes in June and this was our lovely home for 4 nights after an overnighter en route from the ferryport at Santander.

We were greeted by Angel and Reiner like long lost friends, and immediately given a huge glass of cold water as we were wilting in the 40 degree heat having ridden our motorbikes all day.

Room - we had the suite which was a fabulous size, with an ante-room that had loads of space for our bike gear with a sofa, table, storage trunk & fridge with mini freezer compartment for our ice packs. The bedroom was a good size with extremely effective aircon for which we were most grateful. There were apologies for the small bathroom but to be honest it was absolutely fine and no smaller than most budget hotels, but it was stunningly decorated and supplied with lots of nice touches. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable - we have a firm superking at home and often struggle if hotel beds are too small or soft but this was perfect. I am not a good sleeper but I had some great sleeps!

Dining - we had booked half board and were really wowed by Angel's cooking and the service from Reiner. The food was stunningly presented and up there with the best meals I've ever had. Their delicious house red wine is from a local vineyard and has their beautiful blue mansion pictured on the label.

Access - easy access a few minutes from the small centre of Graus, plenty of parking and it felt safe for the motorbikes. Fuel stops and supermarkets nearby for easy filling up with petrol & water etc.

All in all one of the best places we've stayed.  Our only regret was we weren't able to ride to and wander around the beautiful small villages in the area as it was just too hot. A highlight was our 300 mile day over into the French Pyrenees to do 5 of the big Tour de France Cols including Tourmalet and Aubisque. Highly recommended for both bikers and non-bikers.

Absolutely fabulous!

Our room was fantastic and the bathroom as well. The room was nice decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the staffs very service minded.
We will go again in the spring!

Excellent

I spent five nights here and enjoyed it tremendously.  The room was comfortable and well supplied with amenities.  Breakfast was superb, with meat, eggs, cheese, yogurt, toast, cereal, and lots of delicious fruit.  The owners were attentive, helpful, and friendly, with stories about the area.  The hotel also serves luscious dinners with local meats and dishes, beautifully presented.  It is small, so everyone gets special attention.  The owners are flexible.  For instance,  when I was leaving very early one morning they packed a breakfast for me the night before (and I could keep the yogurt in the refrigerator in the room over night).  There are chairs and small tables outside, so one can sit out and enjoy the view.  It was overall one of the most interesting and "personal" hotel experiences I have had in years of traveling.

Delightful  and comfortable hotel in a beautiful landscape

This was our last night in Spain after two weeks through hiking/ backpacking on the GR1 so it was a real treat to have a huge bed, lovely room and most of all a great welcome from Reiner and Angel. They are both very genuine in wanting you to have the best time, and Reiner was full of information and suggestions. The hotel is a little way out of town, so there are lovely views of the surrounding countryside. 
The breakfast was very good and plentiful and the dinner also excellent. There is a focus on fresh, high quality, local produce.

Wonderful hospitality

Hotel Bodegas de Arnes is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. 

We had initially chosen this hotel as they are dog friendly (unlike many other hotels in this region). 

It is a small hotel, with just 5 rooms.

The host, Reiner, gave us such a warm welcome and this continued throughout our stay. 

Our 6 month old springer spaniel was also warmly welcomed and very well provided for. 

Our room was beautifully furnished, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot.
 
Our room rate included breakfast, which included delicious fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread and buns, cold meats and cheese. 

We had dinner at the hotel both nights of our two night stay. The menu was €30 for three courses. The food was exceptionally good - beautifully presented and tasted superb.

We would highly recommend Hotel Bodegas de Arnes and hope to return one day.



An absolute gem! 

We spent two nights here and were spoiled by Reiner and Angel with their hospitality and gourmet food. Reiner is very well informed about the beautiful locations in the region and are always most happy to share his tips with us. Thanks to his extra efforts, we were able to make an antique rural church visit in an astonishing sunset setting. Although Angel doesn't speak much German/English, one feels his warmth anyway and not to mention the excellent food he cooks. We had the best lobster risotto here since years, very fresh and tastier than in any seaside restaurants we've been to. They're truly lovely hosts giving their best to the guests!

A wonderful time

We went to Bodegas de Arnes to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. This place is not only a hotel, it is the home of two amazing people who designed and built every little corner of this beautiful medieval house with all their love and dedication. The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and very romantic. All the instalations and surroudings exceeded our expecations, and the service... wow what can I say about the service, it was superb. Breakfast was delicious, with local ingredients, homemade bread and jam, etc. We had dinner at the Bodegas restaurant two nights in a row and the cook is an artist! Also, there are plenty of activities a short drive away, the owners recommended very nice places. This was by far one of the best hotel experiences that I've ever had. Highly recommended!
