Exceptional stay all around. Fatima and Patxi are wonderful and kind hosts. Their sons and furry  family members are welcoming and friendly. The traditional basque style house is very charming and inviting. Stunning country side with complete tranquility and amazing views. Cozy and clean room with comfortable bed and a nice size bathroom. The terrace is spectacular to relax and enjoy the town church in the distance. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful dining sunroom with country views and fireplace. Fresh eggs from the estate’s  own chickens, cold meats and cheese, rustic breads, buttery pastries and seasonal fruit. Coffee, tee, milk, fresh squeezed orange juice.
Fully stocked kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, coffee machine and tea are available for use by guests during the stay. 
About a 25 minute pleasant walk through the countryside  ( with donkeys and sheep  ) to beautiful Hondarribia and the French border. Will stay again without any doubt. Highly recommended  for a relaxing, peaceful time.

When coming to Casa Rural Iketxi you are greeted by a most delightful and warm couple. Fatima and Patxi have gone out of their way to ensure that all their guests are cared for. Iketxi is in a beautiful rural environment, yet not far from the beautiful old town of Hondarribia. Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. A convenient starting point for those hiking the Camino del Norte. Highly recommended!

A Special Place!

We loved it here, from the moment we arrived, to be greeted with the warmest welcome we encountered during our 5 weeks in northern Spain.  Our hosts were super nice throughout our stay: when our confirmed Airbnb reservation for the next day felt through, Fati sprang into action, calling every place she could find and eventually had success. As well, the house is beautiful, breakfast great with special pastries, and we enjoyed the 30-40 minute walk into town, mostly along a country lane. I only wish the pillows had been less hard but hard pillows aren't uncommon in Spain.

Wonderful hosts

A beautiful home situated in the countryside near Hondarribia, overlooking green hills, farms, and the nearby towns.  Our room was spacious, clean, and charmingly styled, with a large private balcony.  The owners Patxi and Fatima are exceptionally warm and accommodating: even though we were only able to stay one night, we felt like part of their family.  We'd love to return here next time we visit the Basque country.

This is a lovely place with a very good and lovely owners. The room has passion and have a original look for the area. The nature is fantastic, with a view over the town Irun. Try it, and you will enjoy you stay - the perfect place for starting the north way to Santiago
