I wanted to do something different with my partner for a special. landmark birthday and a friend recommended Casas Rurales de Guayadeque as he and his wife loved their two stays there. My partner and I loved our stay there, it is so tranquil and peaceful and there are some lovely walks close to hand. The facilities were excellent. We highly recommend this.

Somewhere and something different

Houses in this village are literally carved out of natural caves in mountain. Take a look at the small chapel located next to the bar-restaurant. Take stroll along the houses following the path which is the only access the inhabitants have. 

On the way back to the coast stop at the museum to explore how people lived in the caves at the time of the Roman Empire. 

Quite interesting modern  and historic cave experience. 

Interesting cave life

If you like nature, peace, new adventures and good and traditional food... This is a perfect place for you here in Gran Canaria!  
Hold traditional cave houses,  completely renovated with every kind of comfort like at home!

Location is magic!  in particular if you like hiking, and is not Far from the most famous location of the Island! 
The price is correct and the people are very friendly! 
Recommend! 

An experience!!! 

If you would like to find calm, this is the place to be. Is about 20 minuts from airport, and about 1h driving from Maspalomas beach, but it seams to be a different country with absolutely no cell phone coverage. Also the experience of staying into mountain (rooms are like caves) is great. 
But some details must be improved. Our stay was with a 15 month kid, and we had a room with steps inside. Room was not so clean, and they didn't make room during your stay. Also internet was not working due some problem with his internet network (password given was not correct and they didn’t solve this issue) Also beds are not comfortable as expected, and rooms were little wet. 
Regarding kitchen, was OK, only missing to have a microwave. Each room has his own boiler, and in our case was not enough to have shower for 2 adults and 1 kid.

Rating with lower price would be good, but with price got is from poor to average

Different place to be

The place in itself is interesting, but it doesn't live up to potential. The room was not ready upon our arrival, the heater did not work, no cleaning or change of towels/bedding during our 4 days, our apartment had only 2 uncomfortable wooden chairs and we had one foldable chair for outside use - and that was broken! Our booking said we could buy breakfast at the restaurant, Tagoror at EUR 6.60 which was not true. 
The best thing was the scenery and the "away from it all" feeling.
