Poor communication by the hotel reception. Regrettably when we arrived in Jerica, after a very long drive, we found the road blocked as there was a bull run on. This want due to end until 21:00. After going round and round with the Sat Nav We called the hotel and were incorrectly told there was no other way in. 
We did eventually find another way. 

Clean but tired room/bathroom. Towels like sandpaper. Bedding clean and bed ok. 
There was a curtain across the window that did not open so you needed the light on. I would describe the room as “dreary and tired”. Air con ok once the handset was changed at reception. 

Dog friendly.  -  I would describe this as caring.  Two bowls for each dog and two rolls of poo bags plus a bag of treats. Plus clean beds   Very dog friendly.  10€ per night for each dog  dogs.

Overnight stop

I stayed at this hotel, for the second time, and was disappointed based on what I can remember from the previous visit.
The room was clean and comfortable - always an important factor but, unfortunately that's it.  The fridge and the hairdryer in the room were not working (I really would have liked to have cool drinks in my room as it was very hot).
Breakfast was basic and if you were a little later arriving, everything had been sitting out since the start.
Although not unpleasant, the staff weren't particularly friendly either.

Disappointing

Extremely small room, bidet and bathtub space less than 10 cm separation.
Food extremely basic, mostly deepfrozen components.
Safe on rooms did not work, a gold ring disappeared from our luggage, other smaller silver pieces were not touched
We filed a claim to the police

Micro rooms and security

I did not expect much from this small hotel and was therefore pleasantly surprised by everything. 
The hotel is very conveniently located in the small town of Jerica which is excellent for walking. It is on the Vía Verde de los Ojos Negros and there are numerous walking routes that start from the town. The tourist information office, which is just off the main square, has free maps. Also, the hotel is about a one minute walk from the train station, meaning that it is a good place from which to start many walking routes.
The staff in the hotel were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Although the hotel looks quite basic from the outside, from the inside it is pleasantly decorated and very clean. It has a bar which, despite being convenient, is not very conducive to a quiet drink in the evening. It is a good place for a coffee, however the chairs and tables are not that comfortable.
The rooms are best described as cosy. However, as we only stayed one night, it was more than suitable for our needs: it was warm, clean and had a comfortable bed. In addition, safes are available in the rooms.
As we were not sure about whether or not there would be anywhere suitable to have dinner (being such a small town), we opted to stay halfboard, which on hindsight was probably the best choice. There are other bars and restaurants in the town however the hotel's restaurant appears to be one of the best. There is a set menu which does not include drinks, however we ordered a bottle of the house wine which was quite reasonable and reasonably drinkable!
The breakfast was interesting. It may be because we were staying during January and they were not very busy, they did not offer a buffet breakfast but instead they brought us juices and coffee and plates of toast, cheese and ham, cakes and fruit.
This hotel certainly provides good value for money, especially if you stay halfboard. 
Following our stay in this hotel, we would definitely recommend it and would certainly stay again. Indeed, we were so happy that we are now planning a trip and will stay in their sister hotel in Montanejos.
