Went with my family on the May Long weekend and we loved it.  The place was beautiful and the cabin was well equiped.  The only negative thing was the beds, I was comfortable with the children sleeping at the attic area, but moved the matress down so problem solved.  The cabins are near a few towns so we enjoyed driving around such iconic landmarks.

Beautiful Place to relax and enjoy nature

The campsite and grounds are fabulous - very well-maintained and clean, large swimming pool with grassy area around to relax, large lawned area to sit out, camping plots with shade (both from trees and overhead tarps already prepared). Staff and owner are very friendly and the services (small WC/shower block, rubbish bins next to every other plot, BBQs etc) are cleaned once if not twice daily. My only complaint would be that camping in August, I was surprised to find other "campers" in very large groups (12 people) who had settled in with fridges, televisions, very bright electric lamps and very little respect for their neighbours. It made sleeping before, at times, 1am, and enjoying the sounds of nature very difficult in the evening. Dogs were also without leads on several occasions, while my own was tied up at all times, as per camp rules. Something to keep in mind.
I'd definitely return, but look forward to doing so off-peak, with the hopes of encountering more like-minded campers, or at the very least, fewer people in general!

Beautiful campsite, clean services, friendly staff... obnoxious fellow campers.

We stayed here after walking from... and were looking forward to cooling off in the swimming pool with a cold beer or two... It was not to be because we had arrive too early in the year. The cabins sleep up to four but two spaces are up in the roof which will be rather hot in the height of summer. The ladders used to get up to these beds were not securely attached and the bars seemed to be inadequately secured so would cause concern to parents planning on sending children to sleep up there. There is a small kitchen with electric rings, a fridge, cooking utensils and cutlery. There is no A/C  or ceiling fans. The grounds are well kept and the host is very friendly and very helpful. One drawback for walkers is the 15 min walk into town where there is  a very good and reasonably priced restaurant called Quercus at the station and a good bar run by an English expat.
Overall this is actually good place to use as a stop over.
