Shekina and Nareca at the front desk was very pleasant. They were vey helpful and accommodating. They helped with everything i needed. Elles sont tres gentille et hospitable. Hertho and stanley were also very nice bell men. I just wished the beds were more comfortable

We stopped here for a couple of Americanos on our way to El Teide national park. It's a very pretty place, with bright red geraniums. The coffers were fine. The wooden dining room is decorated with old farming implements and would be a great place for a full meal. During the day, snacks are sold, such as filled bread rolls.

Long weekend break, came home a day early.

If you are larger than taller than 1.5 metres and larger than a size 10 you will not fit in the shower.
I'm 1.93 metres so it was a case of showering one half of my body at a time.
You had to do yoga to get kn and off the toilet it was that cramped.

The kitchen wasn't much better, very cramped.

The toilet cistern had a leak so kept refilling itself, so not much sleep.

We explained this to the owner who pretended that he didn't understand.

The listing on booking.com was misleading and creative.
Location was great, near to the sea and mountains.
Rooms were basic and okay for the price, but poorly maintained.
Pet and owner friendly enough, but would not stay here again.


Bithday long weekend break, came home a day early.

Do not know if the previous reviewers were friends of the owners or paid but their descriptions bear no resemblance to the accomodation we were shown. It was down a dirt track with no view off the sea. Upon entering the place through what looked like a make shift tent with drunken locals lounging around .The bungalows resembled white painted shacks around a scruffy bit of grass. Inside was worse no window to the so called kitchen area where there was a dirty worn sofa bed, the bed linen on the beds looked like sacking. The whole place stank of vomit and was fiflthy resembling a jail cell with a huge lock on the door. Avoid we have stayed many times in tarifa and have always had nice accomodation but this was the pits we turned around and walked straight  out.

AVOID AVOID, DIRTY, SMELT, WORN SOFT FURNISHINGS, MORE LIKE A PRISON CELL

in front of Los Lances beach, 5 min by car to Valdevaqueros.. these are the best kitesurfing places of tarifa. El Rancho is a very good place to stay, comfortable, nice apartments with kitchen. it is clean and quiet but close enough to the town to have fun.

We stayed here for two nights in winter. It was basic but OK, and good value, but obviously set up for warmer weather. We were disappointed that the kitchen had no kettle and only tiny cups so no morning and evening cups of tea! It's a good location for Tarifa if you have a car, a bit far to walk. Good budget self catering accommodation.
